25th Phase: These Voices

Taylor’s POV

“Okay, so we have your entire day planned out. By 8:30, we’ll leave and go to E! Entertainment Studios for your interview with Ryan Seacrest. Then by 10, we’ll probably go do some sort of outfit searching for the incoming Grammy’s. Of course, you’ll have lunch by 11 and-” Rob kept going on and on about my schedule for the day in which I didn’t bother to listen to. I was so tired from work every single day that I barely have time for my family and Harry.

I can sense Harry’s change of attitude whenever I mention work in our conversations. He would suddenly remain silent about it. I really feel like I’m the worst girlfriend ever. I know he does all these things to make it so much easier for the both of us but I always make things complicated with work and everything else. I really feel bad for him and for putting him into a position I know he didn’t want to be in. He’s my boyfriend and lately, I have not been letting him feel that.

“-And we’ll be all done by 8 PM. You’ll need an early sleep, Taylor. You’re up for a recording session in the morning.” Rob finished. I just nodded and smiled at him, letting him know that I have listened to every word he said when I completely did not.

Jen, my stylist, just completed my look with a soft brush of pink blush on my pale white cheeks. I sat in front of the mirror and took a minute to just stare at myself. I’m not scrutinizing my physical features. I’m just staring in the mirror for something to stare at. I thought of how different I look back when I was in Nashville, starting to live my dream. I love everything that has happened to me, yes. But sometimes, I just want to wish back the simple life I’ve had in the county when a good ‘ol play from the barn is enough for me to be happy.

“Taylor,” Rob snapped me back to reality. “Are you ready to go?” He asked as he pulled out his planner.

“Wait, not yet.” I stood up from my seat. “Harry’s coming over. Let’s wait for him.” I spoke in my soft voice.

“Well, tell him to hurry up. We have an interview to go to.” Rob reprimanded as he stormed his way out of my room. I sighed as I tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ears.

“Don’t mind him. He’s just stressed out.” Jen said as she attempted to make me feel better.

“I know. But didn’t he ever think that everyone else in this team is stressed out too? Him being like that doesn’t help at all.” I said weakly. I was just plain tired of everything. Everyone is under a huge pressure right now especially with my tour coming up.

“It’s okay, Tay. I understand you. Just relax yourself and don’t mind him. I’ll take care of that douche for you.” She said calmly with a slight chortle at the end. “Now, go call your prince charming because we’re running a little late.” She patted my shoulders and went after Robert. I just nodded. I dialed Harry’s number and called him.

“Hey,” I spoke.

“Hey,” It was so good to hear his deep voice.

“Where are you?” I asked.

“I’m on my way to your room; just passed through a massive crowd of paparazzi. I’ll be there in a minute.”

“Okay. Hurry up.” I hung up after.

Not a moment longer, Harry came in my front door with a cup of coffee in his hands.  “Hi, babe. Sorry I was late.” He leaned in the door frame, flashing a smile at me. I felt my lips quirk skyward as I saw him there. He always looks so attractive; never failed to make an impression.
