CHAPTER 21
I was sitting there, with Harry, my elbow placed on the black table, my chin on my hands, and my free fingers tapping the granite table, being aimlessly bored. I’m really not a patient person. I observed the light hanging from the ceiling, following it with my eyes as it slowly swings every time the door opens. This Griddle place looks like an old 50’s diner with a splash of modern architecture having pipes on its ceiling; very unique and quite techno. Paintings we’re occupying the peach walls and the thing that made it cooler is the blues music being replayed in this café.
“Okay, who are we waiting?” I finally decided to say something. Harry was texting with his phone for the past few minutes we’ve been here and it was irritating and rude.
“You have asked me that question for the 13th time already and I have been counting. Can’t you just wait?” He said whilst looking at his screen, typing away.
“I could’ve stopped asking if you answered it in the first place.” A glazed look was planted on my face. He just shook his head, heaving a sigh.
“Ugh. I’m starving.” I groaned, burying my face on the palm of my hands.
“She’s coming.” My eyes suddenly fluttered open.
“Wait,” I lifted my head up. “She?” I asked in surprise. Harry turned his face to the entrance door and I did the same. I was slack-jawed. “Oh. My. God.” I uttered under my breath. “You didn’t mention it was going to be the Taylor Swift.” I said in hushed manner, still looking at the girl who just came in the café. I was star-struck. God she’s beautiful. Her blonde hair flinging on her shoulders, her fair skin, and those red lips of hers; if I was a guy, I’d kill to be with her. Harry is one lucky guy.
“Hey babe,” She said. Her voice, it’s so angelic. She gave Harry a quick peck on the cheeks. Harry didn’t seem to care. His face was blank; weird dude. I just let the thought move pass by me and ignore Harry.
“Oh, and this is Maggie.” Harry said in an undertone. I smiled.
“I know. Niall’s girlfriend. Hi! Nice meeting you.” Taylor reached out her hand to me. I quickly stood up and shook it with a huge beam on my face. “Hi,” I said. Although she literally called me Niall’s girlfriend, I forgive her because she’s Taylor. I’m still shocked to meet her. Harry moved over to let Taylor sit beside him.
“So,” Taylor began in her radiant tone. “What brings you here in LA? I mean, Haz told me you’re from San Diego and recently, in London.”
“Uhm... it’s a long story. But yeah, I and my mom would be staying here in LA for a couple of days.” My voice we’re shaking. I still can’t believe I’m in front of Taylor Swift.
“Well, that’s good. You can spend time with us while you’re here. I and Harry will be staying here for a couple of days too. You know, making most of our time together because of our busy schedules. It hardly ever met; the free time we both have. It’s crazy but you know what love does.” She giggled. “Right Haz?” Taylor glanced at Harry.
