15. Let Me Explain

Erin's POV

I stood up to chase after Dan.

"Erin, hold on." Caspar said and held my arm. "Did you feel anything?" He asked. I shook my head. "Me neither." He admitted.

"Just friends?" I asked.

"Just friends." Caspar agreed then hugged me and let me go so I could go and find Dan.

Dan's POV

I walked in and Caspar and Erin were kissing. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was going to confess my feelings to her but she was with someone else. I knew she wouldn't like me back. I heard Erin shouting behind me.

"Dan! Dan please let me explain!" She desperately yelled. But  couldn't it would hurt too much to hear her feelings for Caspar. I ignored her and ran back to my room.

"Dan what's wrong?" Phil asked worried. I ignored him and locked myself in the bathrrom. I could feel my heartbreaking. Phil knocked on the bathroom door.

"Please tell me what's wrong." Phil said.

"I don't want to talk about it." I said.

"Okay, I'm here if you need me." He said. I hardly ever cry but when it feels like your heart is being ripped to shreds inside of you it's hard to keep your tears at bay. I let a few roll down my cheeks then wiped the rest away but stayed on the floor of the bathroom with my knees huddled into my chest. I must have sat there for at least an hour. I got up and left the bathroom.

"I'm going to find Belle." I said to Phil and grabbed my phone. I walked to Belle's room and knocked on the door. She answered but her smile soon faded when she looked at me.

"Dan, what's wrong?" She asked pulling me into a hug and not letting go. I wiped my face trying to get rid of the signs of tears but it was obviously too late. We walled into Belle's room and sat down.

"Please tell me what's wrong." Belle said with a worried frown on her face.

"I thought.. Erin.. " I said before fresh tears cascaded down my face.

"Stay here." Belle ordered before she stood up and stormed out of her room leaving me curled up in a ball.

Belle's POV

"Dan, what's wrong?" I asked pulling him into a tight hug and not letting go. I saw his tear stained face and I couldn't stand it. I pulled him into my room and we sat down.

"Dan, please tell me what's wrong." I asked worriedly.

"I thought.. Erin..." Dan said before he started crying again.

"Stay here." I said before standing up and leaving. If she was going to make my brother feel like this, I need to know why and I will stop at nothing to protect my family. I anged on Erin's door But she didn't answer.

"Belle!" I heard Erin shout.

"Where's Dan?!" She asked worriedly.

"What the hell did you do?!" I shouted at her.

"I need to find Dan to explain!" She said tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Explain to me first. Erin, you know how protective I am over my family!" Belle said .

"Dan was coming to my room to talk to me and I was going to tell him my feelings for him and Caspar was with me because I told him that we weren't right for each other and he agreed but said we should test it and kissed me and Dan walked in." Erin blurted out with one breath. "But he doesn't even like me so I'm worried to why he is upset." Erin said and she did look genuinely worried.

"So, did you feel anything? With Caspar?" I asked

"No, nothing and neither did he. Belle, you know that it's Dan I want to be with even if he doesn't like me back." Erin admitted. "I need to find Dan."

"He's in my room." I said not knowing whether it was the right thing to say. Erin jogged to my room and I walked in first.

"Dan, let her explain." I said. Dan stood up and pushed past us stormed to his room.

"He's not going to let me explain." Erin said sitting down on the floor tears forming in her eyes. I sat down next to her and put my arm around her.

"Why aren't you mad at me?" Erin asked quietly.

"Because you're my best friend who needs help and you didn't do anything wrong." Belle said.

"Thank you." Erin whispered then stood up. "I'm going to get some sleep and I guess I'll see you tomorrow."

"Night, Erin. Try not to worry about it too much, I'm sure he'll come around." I said even though I wasn't sure. I then went back to my room and snuggled into bed where Jack was already asleep but as soon as I got under the sheets his arm snaked around me and brought me closer to him.

A/N Will Dan listen to Erin? And Belle is stuck in the middle of her best friend and brother :/
