17. Hidden

Dan's POV

I read the letter that had been put under my door. What? Erin wants to be with me? This can't be true I didn't tell her my feelings because I thought she didn't like me back. She heard me telling Phil I didn't like her more than a friend. Oh God. She's left. I need to tell her that I do like her back. I got dressed in black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt (surprise) and straightened my hair. Phil was in the bathroom and asked me

"What was up with you yesterday?"

"Erm I walked in on Erin and Caspar kissing." I said the memory flashing through my brain.

"Woah. I didn't know they liked each other." Phil said

"That's the thing they don't. Apparently. I need to go and talk to Belle but I should be back soon and then we can go and get breakfast?" I asked

"Okay." Phil said. I went to Belle's room and knocked on the door and she answered with a smile.

"Hi, Belle. About the whole Caspar and Erin thing. Apparently Erin told you that she liked me?" I asked.

"Yeah she did." Belle answered. This brought be relief that Erin did like me and not Caspar and she was telling the truth.

"Thanks, Belle." I said hugging her then going back to my room to make a very important phone call.

"Dan?" I heard Erin ask quietly.

"Hi, er... look. I'm sorry for not letting you explain. I went to Belle and she explained to me that you told her you liked me." I said.

"Dan, you don't have to say anything I know you don't like me back and I'm sorry for making things awkward but I still want to be friends with you." Erin said.

"That's the thing. I do like you back. I only said those things to Phil to keep my feelings hidden. I didn't want to ruin our friendship." I said.

"You do like me?" Erin checked.

"I do." I answered.

"Dan?! Can we go for breakfast now?!" Phil yelled.

"Sorry Erin. I have to go. I want you to know I'm sorry and can we talk later?" I asked.

"Of course, enjoy the weather, its f*****g miserable here." Erin giggled.

"Bye, Erin." I said chuckling slightly

"Right, c'mon then Phil." I said smiling for the first time in what felt like ages. We went down to get breakfast and I think I must have been grinning and Louise must have noticed.

"What's made you so happy?" Louise asked

"What? Nothing." I said but couldn't stop my self from grinning again.

"He was on the phone to Erin before we left." Phil said smirking.

"Ahh that might explain it." Louise said winking at me.

"Phil!!" I said though I wasn't really mad and he knew it. We finished our breakfast and went to the beach and I was in such a good mood but I realised I didn't know where me and Erin were at. Were we friends? Well that's my next job but I will definitely ask to her face so I'm now excited to go home Even though I didn't think I would be. I want to see her but I will make it a surprise. I hope she still feels the same way I do.

Belle's POV

Dan's happy again. I have no clue what is going on but I hope they can get past it because I hate to see my best friend and my brother upset. We're going home in 2 days so we are making the most of the sun because once we get back to England its going to be cold and raining again. Yay (the sarcasm is off the scale.)

Dan came down to breakfast really happy so either something's cheered him up or he's made up with Erin. We'll wait and see. Dan and Caspar haven't spoken to each other since the incident but we'll have to see if the tension passes. Whenever Caspar starts a conversation with the group Dan stays quiet and frowns. They use to be such good friends and I hope this won't ruin their friendship. We decided to go in the sea and Dan took his top off and agreed. He seems more confident, this is good maybe Erin has had a good effect on him already. I hope so.

a/n Sorry that this is a really short chapter and it's just what they are feeling than them actually doing anything but the next chapter the characters are leaving Playlist and Dan goes to find Erin :)
