Hello, Abigail. I praise God for your life. Today, I re-learned about your life—everything you went through in the hands of your husband Nabal. You know him better and you have probably seen the worst side of him. Yet, you remained a good housewife.
You could have let David kill your husband (to end your suffering and break free from him) and all the men in your household but you were intelligent and humble enough to take the guilt on behalf of your husband.
I am reminded today that it is not about the situation, but it's really about our heart and perspective. It's about our attitude on how to handle bad situations. You could have been the worst wife given your worst situation. You could have used that to become a bad person yet you became even more humble, understanding, and full of wisdom.
And yes, in the end your husband Nabal died and you married David. But did your suffering end? Did you have a better life with David? It could be. But no one saw it coming that David would also betray you, right? With all that adultery with Bathsheba?
Oh, Abigail. I seriously can't imagine your life full of suffering, sacrifices, and breakdown. I adore you because I am not like you. I could have given up if it was me. But God is gracious, isn't He? Until the very end, He never left you. He took care of you and He molded your character into someone I look up to—an inspiration to every woman out there. And I pray I will also have a heart like you. You were an inspiration to me. Thank you and I give all the glory to God.
