"Hide.." Kaneki had tears steaming down his face and so did you.
A tear fell on Hide's cheek and he managed to give a small smile. Kaneki gave him a sad one. "Okay, Hide, Let's go home." You went up stairs to look at all the little things in the room that were filled with so many memories. You sat down on the bed and pulled your knees to your chest and hid your face. You stayed like that until the smell of smoke caught your nose. You looked up to see raging flames.
You gasped and looked around. Everything is burning. You saw Kaneki walking out side with Hide in his arms. You knew it was dangerous to go downstairs so you ran towards the nearest window and jumped through it. You landed right in front of Kaneki stopping him. You turned into a small (F/c) cat and let Kaneki to continue to walk around you. You followed from behind. You noticed Touka-chan was following not far back. You just shrugged it off and continued walking with your head down. Many Ghouls and humans were staring at us. Kaneki finally stopped and put Hide's body down in the snow. He stayed for a bit looking directly at a CCG member. He finally started to walk away.
You and Kaneki stayed at his old apartment. It's been awhile since I've seen him smile...You thought. He hasn't even left his room and you have been sent to go get coffee from the store or to get something you can eat alone. You were deep in thought until a sound of a bell caught your attention. You looked at the store beside you and noticed it was a book store. You decided to looked around to see what they have. You came across a book that popped out in the shelving.
"Takatsuki Sen..doesn't Kaneki read that?" It had a red sticker that said New Book! . You decided to buy it and rushed home. "Kaneki!" You cheerful yelled running in the house. "..what is it?" He asked. You came to him out of breath and handed him the bag. He opened it and saw that a book was inside it. He pulled it open and his eyes widen as he read the title. He actually put a small smile on and hugged you. "Thank you, (F/n)." He said. You hugged him back. "Your welcome, Kaneki." Both you and Kaneki sat down on the bed. You put your head in his lap. "Read it to me." You said poking the book.
He still had that small smile and nodded. He started to read and you closed your eyes listening to his voice. He spoke smoothly and clearly so you could understand every word. Both you and Kaneki enjoyed it that he ended up finishing the book. After he was done, he noticed that you were a sleep . He stroked your hair making you turn on to your other side facing Kaneki's body now.
Kaneki noticed that his mouth was watering a bit and his left eye change into a ghouls. He snapped out of it and laid your head on the bed. He got up and sat in the bathroom trying to think of something else than food. It was no use. He hasn't eaten in a while and his hunger was strong.
His ghoul eye came back and rushed out if the bathroom drooling at the mouth.
