You woke up in the morning around 11:00. Noticing you got to sleep in, You happily jumped out of bed and put on a t-shirt and shorts. Kaneki watched you come down the stairs and picked you up spinning you around and lightly setting you on the on of the chairs in near the counter. You laughed and kissed his cheek. He smiled back and handed you a cup of coffee. "I made it especially for you, dear." You looked at the cup and the words I love you were written in the foment at the top of the cup. "I love you, too!" You said wrapping your arms around his neck and gave him a kiss on the lips.
"Happy anniversary." He said picking up his cup of coffee. " 5 years and counting." You laughed. You both clanked your cups together and took a sip. "So what do you want to do today?" Kaneki asked. "Well we can drop the kids off with Touka and Hinami." You suggest. "And after their out of the house.." You moved closer into his ear and whispered. Kaneki's face turned bright red and cleared his throat. "..Kids pack your clothes! Your going to Touka-chan's house for the weekend!" He said walking up the stairs to their room. They always stayed together. Evertime on got hurt, the other would always somehow know and comfort them. After an hour, they came back down stairs with their bags . You got on your shoes and hoodie and waited out side for them. You made sure they had their hoods on as well.
"Are you two ready?" You asked rubbing their heads.
"Yes mama!"
-"Yes mama! "
They both said in unison. You smiled and grabbed Hikari's hand and Kaneki grabbed Reed's. The four of you walked over to Touka-chan's house which was only 3 blocks away and you didn't have a car. You finally made it and knocked on the door and Hinami answered it. "Hikari! Reed!" She squeaked pulling them into a hug.
"Hello Hinami-chan."
-"Hello Hinami-chan."
They replied. Touka-chan walked over to the door and looked out to see you two. " Do you mind watching the kids for the weekend?" You asked smiling hoping she would say yes. "Uh..yeah sure." She said. Hinami squeaked with delight and let Hikari and Reed in side. "Thank you so much!" You bowed your head. " No problem. It's your guy's anniversary any ways." "Thank you, Touka-chan." Kaneki thanked her again."Bye Hikari! Bye Reed!" You waved.
"Bye mama! Bye daddy!"
-"Bye mama! Bye daddy!"
They waved back. You and Kaneki smiled and headed back. After you got home, Kaneki locked the front do and picked you up in his arms and taking you into the room. The both of you laughed on the way up. Kaneki also locked the door to your room and placed you on the bed crawling in top of you and kissed your lips. "Mmm..I love you." He said. "I love you, too." You replied. He took off your shirt and then his and laid down beside you.
He kissed you again and slowly slid down to your neck. He started to slide his hand up your stomach to your bra strap. But before he could unhook your bra, a loud bang was heard from the front door. The both of you jumped and got out of bed. He looked out side the window and saw CCG members surrounding the house. "Shit.." He muttered under his breath. "Kaneki?" You were confused. The bang happened again and Kaneki quickly changed into his Battle outfit. You looked outside and saw them as well. Kaneki unlocked the door to the bedroom and you to carefully exited the room. Again with the banging. Kaneki turn around to you and placed his hands on your shoulders. "Go hide in the basement. I'll take care of things." You shook your head no. "Kaneki, there's to many for you to take out on your own." "I don't want you to get hurt because I let you fight with me. Please.. I don't want to lose you." He said rubbing away the tears falling from your eyes, he picked you up bridle style and headed for the basement.
"Stay in here. I'll come back. I promise." You kept shaking your head No and pleaded him to stay. "Kaneki..Please don't go.." You held onto his hand. He kissed you deeply and placed his head on your forehead. "I love you." He said and more tears started to fall. "I love you, too." Your words wee muffled by your crying. He kissed your forehead one last time and headed out the door locking it behind him. You still cried hoping he would come back.
You heard muffled screams through the walls that were the CCG's. You could smell their blood everytime Kaneki killed one. You had your knees to your chest and held your hands to your head. You started to cry when you heard Kaneki yelp in pain and you could smell his blood as clear as day.
~Touka-chan's house~
Touka-chan and Hinami watched the news while Hikari and Reed sat watching it with them. "There seems to be a major attack on one house in the 20th ward. Many CCG members already died at the hands of this one ghoul they nicknamed 'The Eyepatch' ." Touka-chan gasped and quickly headed out the door. "Stay with the kids Hinami-chan!" She yelled. Hinami nodded and sat with them.
"Is mommy and daddy in trouble?" Hikari asked. "Are they going to get caught buy the scary men?" Reed asked next. Hinami sad a sadden look and hugged them both. "I don't know."
~Kaneki's house~
Kaneki was stabbed through one of his eyes by Amira. He hissed in pain and held it. Kaneki tried to attack but his Kagune was cut off and Amira hit his other eye. Kaneki laid there silent and still.
You covered your mouth screaming because his sent was stronger now. "I'll need a new Quinque." Amira said. Touka-chan raced for your house and say everything. She cried as well as the picked his body up and threw it in on of their trucks. They soon left and Touka searched the house for you. She finally found you in the basement crying your eyes out. You heard her open the door and hoped it was kaneki but it wasn't. "Kanek-..Touka-chan?" You said. You raced past her into the yard and a piece of Kaneki's clothes were in a pool of his own blood. You fell to your knees slamming your first into the ground. "Damn it, Damn it, DAMN IT!!" Touka-chan tried to comfort you but you just shook her off. "Kaneki! You promised!"
