Today is promotion and I'm nervous more than ever I have to give two speeches one more the golden Spartan award and the other with Daylene and Natalie cause I'm president I'm really nervous I called my famous girls everyone came while my famous boys were downstairs helping my brothers make posters and everything panic at the disco and fall out boy were in my room helping pick out a dress that didn't show too much Mahogany Lox had to push them down the stairs to help the boys with something I put on my dress Holland and Crystal were doing my makeup while Violet and Samantha were doing my hair the put it in a waterfall braid it was cute I put my brown heels on I looked myself in the mirror I had on a dress that the top was brown and the bottom was turquoise and was cut mid thigh my makeup was blue eye shadow with sliver and gold massacre and liner pink lipstick I grabbed my phone and walked out of my room the girls went first but fifth harmony stayed with me as we walked downstairs together my brothers were getting teared up and Prince Royce was crying along with Tyler Posey and Riker Lynch Stormie and Mark looked proud I hugged them and we walked out Justin wiped a tear coming down his face we walked out of the house towards the school the bell rang and my family and friends went to go take their seats I saw Isabel and Hellen the rest of our squad is coming so me, Isabel and Hellen walked to the bathroom I was so nervous for my speeches Natalie Torres came in I hugged her she pulled me side and said "Lexi don't be nervous you'll do great" "really cause I'm like freaking out what if I mess up" "stop you'll do great it's like performing but you giving a speech you'll do get if you get nervous just look at me okay I'll help" "thanks Natalie I really appreciate it" she hugged me and went outside I put on more lipstick Isabel had my pill with her and Hellen has a water bottle with her I took my pill if your wondering yes all of my friends have at least one pill with them so I can take it even Natalie Torres has one with her anyways we walked out and went to the eighth grade side I stood next to Isabel in line then Chris showed up with the boys Natalie Garcia went up and hugged him me and the girls were in a circle talking I was talking to Natalie T when Chris and the boys were walking he came up to me and kissed me its to bad I'm wearing a dress we started to line up and then we started to walk in the line like how we practice Isabel went up and then I went up she said my name "Lexi Mendez" all of my family and friends cheered even my squads family cheered Chris's family definitely cheered I walked down after everyone was called we all sat down then they started to gave away more awards the first one is for character counts "okay this student is nice to everyone if there is a new student she is always there to greet them everyone morning she says hi to me and her friends say that she is an amazing friend if you have a problem she is there to listen and gave you advice when you need so I'm happy to say that this student is Lexi Mendez" oh my god I got up and went to it the award yeah I went back to my seat which is in between Chris and Isabel Martin is next to Isabel and they all smile at me then comes the golden Spartan award ahh shit I'm so nervous "okay the finally award is the golden Spartan award now this student has all honors classes already she is a hard worker her teacher speak very highly about her the coaches says that she is a great athlete and is always done first when they're running she is amazing in Vollyball, Basketball, Soccer, Softball and Track and field she has reached her goal in her Academics she is now ready to give her speech about what she has done to get the most hardest awards ever the award goes to Lexi Mendez" Chris gave me a kiss before I went up there I got and all of my friends went all I heard from my squad which was huge they were all proud of me here I go I went up on the stage hugged coach bell and the vice principal I had my speech in my hand and started to read it "the golden Spartan represents that if you put your mind to it you can achieve it that's what my mom always taught me is to become a educated Latin girl I was raised by my brothers and uncles I only knew sports I never knew how to do my makeup or hair my brothers pushed and pushed me to do good in school after my brothers left to go into the Mariners, Navy and the Military I was raised by my sister-in-law that's how I knew to do my makeup and hair but I love sports like the always say ball is life" I heard all the boys say "yeah I taught her that" "I knew how skate I know how rap, sing, and dance but non of that is important if you don't have someone to push you in school I always had my family and friends after my mom died I pushed myself even hard the golden Spartan doesn't mean anything if you don't try you all want but you didn't even try to reach that goal I reach my goal to become a singer and dancer that was my goal then I reach my goal to become a better student and I advice you to reach that goal too" I felt so proud of my self i heard clapping and everyone stood up and clapped I grabbed my award and headed back to my seat then it was time for the president to come and gave a speech I have my award to Isabel to hold and my phone to Chris I walked up with Natalie and Daylene we started our speech after we finished I was about to walk down the steps when Natalie and Daylene both stopped me the both grabbed the mic and said "wait wait you can go yet" "yeah we have a surprise for you" then a video came on "hey Lexi sorry I can't be there for you to see you promote so I made this video I'm so proud of you your showing mom that you are becoming a educated Latin the way she wanted you to be I wish I was there to hug and kiss you you what turn around" I turn around and saw my brother Christian in his uniform with flowers in his hands the vice principal took the mic and said "ladies and gentlemen back home from Afghanistan is Sargent Christian Mendez" I fell to the ground and then got up ran into my brothers arms everyone was clapping I wiped my tears and went back to my seat Isabel, Chris and Martin were smiling they knew that's it were done the promotion ceremony was over we took photos I can't believe that were done with middle school and I have my brother back it's great
