(Kyle's POV)
The heavy rain outside was not showing any sign of stopping and the ticking of the clock was not allowing the time to stop. Trapped in the middle of this, I am getting worried thinking that how can I go to my house to deliver food. The trouble is not rain. The trouble is that I can neither leave Monica here alone nor can I take her with me. Moreover, I cannot keep my parents hungry. After all, both of them will be waiting for me.
My mind was stuck in the middle of what to do or what not to do when my phone ringed and I received the call saying, "Hello mom."
"Kyle, son you don't need to come here today. It is raining heavily outside. I'll cook. Okay?" She said.
"But mom..." I was about to say something but she stopped me saying, "I don't want to hear anything. I don't want you to get wet in the rain. And as for the food, your father will help me. Just take care of yourself."
"Okay, but I would have come by car anyway, so how would I have got wet, mom?" I asked and chuckled.
"You are going to drive in such terrible weather? Are you out of your mind? Stay wherever you are and take care of yourself. That's it." She scolded me.
"Alright, alright. You too take care of yourself and don't let dad destroy the kitchen." I said and she laughed and said, "okay son, good night. Take care."
"You too mom. Bye!" I said and hung up.
Meanwhile, the bathroom door opened and Monica came out, wrapped in my clothes. Her hair was still wet and she was shivering in the cold.
"I think you're cold. Who told you to get wet in the rain?" I asked in scolding tone.
"I knocked on the door many times but you didn't open." She said and I felt a pang in my chest.
"So why didn't you go back?" I asked but I felt like I was a criminal myself, blaming the victim.
"I was waiting for you." She said.
"For what?" I asked and she mumbled, "I don't know."
I sighed and took out the hair dryer and said, "Sit, you haven't even dried your hair properly."
"There's no need for this, my hair will dry on its own," she said, but I ignored her and slowly turned on the machine and started drying her hair. As I was drying her hair, her face was turning red and seeing this I felt like laughing but I did not laugh otherwise she would have become even more embarrassed. After drying her hair properly, I said, "You rest here for a while, I will bring something hot for you to eat."
"You don't need to worry, I am fine." She said.
"But I'm not. So let me do what I want to." I said and went to kitchen.
It was quite late, but luckily, I had already cooked dinner for my parents which was enough for two, so it didn't take me long. I just heated up the food and brought it inside the room. I placed the food on the table and said, "let's have dinner. I'm starving anyway." I said and we started eating.
After dinner, I asked her to lie down for a while under my blanket because she was still shivering. She refused at first, but my instant glare was enough to convince her. Then I went to the kitchen and started washing the dishes. After doing the dishes as soon as I entered the room, I was quite shocked to see that she was shivering even more than before, even though the furnace was making the entire house warm.
I slowly went close to her and gently placed my hand on her shoulder...
"Are you oka... what the... Monica you are freezing!" I said in panic.
"Don't worry. It's like that. Our bodies always stay cold. Humans' bodies stay warm." She said.
"Are you sure? You weren't this cold just a while ago. And you are shivering so badly." I asked, worried.
"I'm fine Kyle. Vampires don't get sick." She said.
"Stop talking nonsense. I'm going to call the doctor." I said.
"No doctor will come in this heavy rain. And no doctor will be able to cure me anyway." She said and I asked, "what do you mean?"
"You think I got sick from getting wet in the rain, right? That's not true, Kyle. The weather never affects us. Any doctor will only give me medicines made for humans and those medicines will have no effect on me." She said.
Her shivering was increasing gradually and so was my palpitation. I went closer and sat next to her and gently took her hand in mine while asking, "So you tell me what will affect you?"
She was quite for a moment and then whispered, "can you...hold me?"
"What?" I asked, shocked and... and I don't know what I felt.
"I-I am sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I ha-have already bothered you a lot. I should leave now... I-I'm sorry Kyle. I will never bo-bother you again." She said and a lone drop of salty liquid rolled down her cheek. She was about to get up from the blanket but I grabbed her wrist and stopped her. She sat there quietly with googly eyes, and I then gently laid her head on my chest and wrapped my arms around her tightly. She was shocked by this and whispered, "Kyle!"
"Shhh... It's okay. I'm here." I whispered and started caressing her back.

(Enzo's POV)
No, that's not possible. How could she possibly know my sister? My mind had been repeating those words for almost an hour. I couldn't relate anything at all. How could Genevieve know Aurora, and how could she even know she's my sister? She even said I was a vampire. So, does she know everything about us? Just sitting here and wondering isn't going to help. I have to go and ask her everything, even if she hates me.
-------------------
I was standing outside an apartment, wondering how I would confront her. What if she didn't open the door out of fear? So what, I'll break the door and barge in. Heh!...What! Wrong Enzo, you're not an intruder. I muttered to myself. What if he gets angry and slams the door on my face? So what, I'll break the window and barge in. Heh!...What! Enzo, wrong. Again. My mind muttered again. "Yahhh! What should I do?" I accidentally shouted in frustration, and then a voice came from inside the door, "Who's there?"
"Shit" I whispered and thought, Was this girl standing clinging to the door?
I dragged my courage to say, "Genevieve?"
"Wh-who?" A muffled voice came from the other side of the door.
"It's me Enzo. Could you please open the door? I promise I'm not going to hurt you." I said as politely as possible and to my surprise she opened the door.
Her eyelids were moist and her face was swollen, as if she had been crying for hours and this made me feel very anxious and I asked, "hey! Are you okay?"
"Why have you come here?" She asked.
"Uh... I... Look, Genevieve, please don't be afraid of me, okay? I won't hurt you. I... I don't want to cause you any trouble. I just want to know about my sister. If you'll just tell me where she is, I'll leave." I said.
"Come in." She said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"If I refuse, will you agree? You're a vampire, Enzo. No matter what I do, I'll be vulnerable before you, and you'll do whatever it takes to get me to reveal everything you want to know." She said and I felt really bad for myself. Yes I felt bad for myself. She thinks I'll force myself on her!
"Am I that bad?" I whispered to myself.
"Your sister is probably in Canada. At Felicity University. In the Economics Department, where I used to be," she said abruptly, tears welling up in her eyes. Then she staggered a little and suddenly fainted. But luckily, I caught her in my arms before she could fall.
"Genevieve!" I called in panic, but her eyes were closed and her body was burning with fever.
