Chapter 61: Aurora's Truth

(Enzo's POV)

Genevieve you hate me don't you? I thought and tears rolled down my cheeks. Everything was fine as long as she didn't know anything about me. I'm not upset or angry about her hatred, I just want to know the reason behind it. Does she hate me because I'm a vampire or because I'm Aurora's brother?

I heard the doorbell ring and when I went and opened the door, I was shocked.

"Genevieve?" I whispered.

"You didn't expect me to come here, did you?" She asked and I said, "you can come inside," ignoring her question.

She came inside and asked, "if I tell you everything about your sister, will you believe me?"

"So that's why you came here?" I asked.

"Because you should know everything about her deeds, you are her older brother afterall." She said sarcastically, and I could clearly sense the hidden hatred for my sister in her words. I wondered what Aurora had done to her to make her hate her so much.

I sighed and said, "I'm all ears."

"Your sister not only ruined my life but she is also playing with Eric's life." She said and I couldn't understand what she meant by those words.

"Eric? Who is he?" I asked and she said, "Mayson Forbes' younger brother."

(Genevieve's POV)

Enzo was shocked to hear what I said but I will not stop, I will tell him everything, everything she did and I started telling him...

***************Flashback*************

Eric and I went to the same university, Felicity University, and were very good friends. In fact, I was more than just a friend to him, and when I realized he liked me more than just a friend, I decided to clear the matter by telling him that I didn't see him romantically, but only as a friend because I didn't want him to be hurt later.

It was Wednesday, when I was worried about how he would react when I tells him the truth. I was about to leave my department's campus when suddenly a girl came running in front of me and said "Please help me...please."

"Who are you? What's wrong?" I asked.

"I am your junior. Your classmates are trying to bully me. Please help me," she said.

"What?" I asked with doubt because none of my classmates were bad enough to bully anyone and besides I had never seen that girl on our campus before, but when she started pleading for help I had no choice but to help her.

I took her to the girl's washroom and said "Hey! Relax. Okay?"

"What's your name and who were trying to bully you? Tell me so that I can report it to the Dean." I said.

"My name is Aurora and no one will dare bully me." She said with a sinister smile.

"What?! What do you mean?" I asked getting confused.

She came very close to me and held both my hands tightly, which intimidated me and I asked, scared, "What the hell? What are you doing?"

"Look into my eyes." She said, kind of forced me to look straight into her eyes and I was horrified when I felt her face slowly begin to change into my own. I was so scared that I couldn't able to utter a single word and started having a terrible headache and then everything went black.

When I regained consciousness after few hours, I realized that I was in an unknown place. I tried to move but I couldn't because I realized that my hands and legs were tied with ropes. I tried to scream but the cloth wrapped over my mouth prevented me from uttering a word.

It didn't take me long to understand that I was in big trouble and something very bad was going to happen to. Then suddenly the door opened and Aurora entered.

"Hello Genevieve!" She said and removed the cloth from my mouth.

"Wh-who are y-you? Leave me!" I shouted.

"Shhh... My name is Aurora and from now on my name is Genevieve because from now on I am going to take your place." She said, staring at me with her sinister eyes.

"What are you? What do you want?" I yelled and she said, "oh I didn't introduce myself properly. Well my name is Aurora Russell and I am a vampire. And what do I want, I want Eric."

I couldn't understand the situation for a while and I felt as if I was trapped in a nightmare.

"Va-vampire?" I whispered in fear.

"Yes. One of them who drinks blood." She said and I started trembling with fear, but still I gathered courage and said, "I don't care what you are, and I won't let you hurt anyone." She laughed and asked mocking, "oh really? What will you do?"

She took out her cell phone and started showing me a video which made me gasp and tears started flowing from my eyes.

"They are your parents, right?" She asked and I asked, "Wh-what? You...how did you... You went to my house?"

"Ofcourse darling! Otherwise, how could I have recorded this? Look how happy they look, but the poor guys don't know that the girl filming them isn't their daughter, but a vampire disguised as their daughter." She said with an evil smirk.

"You can't do this? No." I said sobbing.

"I haven't done anything yet, but what if I..." She stopped mid-sentence, her eyes bloodshot and her fangs bared as if ready to pierce someone's veins.

"No! No please don't. Don't hurt them. You can kill me, but not them. Please don't." I started begging her because now I had no choice left and she said, "I won't as long as you obey me."

...And from that day on, she kept me on her toes. Sometimes she would send me to Eric's, sometimes she would go herself.

I told him everything. Everything. How she ruined my life. How she toyed with Eric's heart. Maybe she still does. How she kept me away from my parents until now.

"The last time I saw her face before today was the day I woke up at your house and you told me I was trying to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff." I said.

Hearing everything, Enzo's eyes turned red and he whispered in a voice thick with venom, "so you mean my sister is a demon?"

Enzo kept moving towards me, and I kept taking each step back. I bumped into a wall as I retreated, but he didn't stop.

"Enzo stop! I said stop." I yelled but he didn't stop and leaned over me, almost pinning me to the wall.
