10. The First of Many

Rubie POV:

I was shocked that Cedrick was at the door. How did I know it was me? How did he know where I would be? Where is Dean? I had so many questions flying around my mind but I knew what I had to do. I had to fight but first I had to warn Eliza he was here, give her chance to get out.

"Why are you here Cedrick?" I questioned putting emphasis on Cedrick in hope that Eliza would hear , not mentioning the fact that he called me hunter.

"You know why I am here , hunter!" There it was again.

"I don't know what you are talking about , where is Dean?" I became slightly nervous , mainly because I knew I didn't have much time and I didn't have any weapons.

"Yes you do Rubie. You are Rubie Groston , you see you are a good actress. You walked into my fortress and fooled us all but there was one thing that let you down!" He said in a sneering tone , almost as if he was mocking me.

"What was that?" I asked as I straightened up.

"You wasn't scared! Not one bit. Other humans has visited before and all of them were at least slightly on edge but not you. You were as calm as someone who could take us on with a fighting chance , the hunter that has been described!"

"If I was that high in self confidence then why would I be talking to you instead of killing you?" I sniggered.

"Because you know you cant kill me. You want to know where Dean is and now you want to know where we have taken Eliza!" He retorted. His words sent chills down my spine as I ran through the house , desperately searching for her but she was gone.

"Still denying your the hunter like a coward? Or are you going to face up with what you have done? Like a warrior!" Cedrick questioned from behind me.

I turned around , hoping to catch him with the element of surprise. I got in a few good punches and kicks before he began to dodge them. Within 35 seconds I was being pinned down by my throat.

"What do you want from me Cedrick?" I chocked out.

"I want you to fight , to train and then join me! Fight the first of many , both against and by my side." I looked at him completely confused.

"Join you?"

"Yes , you would make a very powerful vampire Rubie. You would be one of my best soldiers." He smiled as though he had everything planned.

"I would die before joining you!" I sniggered at him as I tried to shake out of his grip.

"They always say that at first. But believe me with enough motivation you will change your mind. Sometimes you only have to watch one loved one die , others it takes everyone you have , everything you have before long you give in to have something because you lost everything else!" Cedrick seemed proud that he had drove someone to such despair!

"Soon you will join me!" Cedrick whispered into my ear. Before guiding me up by my throat and slamming my head onto the ground with brutal vampire force. Sending me into an abyss of darkness.
