27. She is truly amazing.

Rubie POV:

We arrived back at Cedrick's and he was quick to dispense his vampires to find Lorena and keep track of her , knowing they couldn't kill her.

"What are we going to do? I thought we were going to kill her , not run away from her!" I said to both of them. It was like they knew something that I didn't.

"In due time my dear Rubie , right now I want to focus on what she was doing there , how did she know we were going to be there?" Cedrick questioned , but it was as though he was questioning himself on the subject.

"Really because right now I want to know why have you become this person?" Dean asked me , practically ignoring Cedrick's presence in the room.

"What do you mean?" I asked him he was making me angry. Right now we had just had to run away from a very old , powerful and extremely scary vampire and all he cared about was who I had become?

"I mean the person you are isn't he person I knew , the person I loved." Dean said it with disgust in his voice.

"What do you mean the person you loved? You mean the person that you faked your death to get away from?" I snapped.

"Look what you have done!" Dean sneered at Cedrick.

"Don't you dare blame Cedrick! He didn't do this , you did! You did this to me. You made Lorena come after me!" I corrected Deans massive mistake.

Dean looked at me , concern plastered across his face. "Let us do this! Let me and Cedrick handle her. Then you wont be in harms way you could leave , take Eliza and then come back when we have killed her!" Dean suggested.

"No! I am not leaving and letting you kill her! I am not running away!" I protested the idea.

Cedrick stayed quiet , while Dean began to speak , again! "Why not? Damn it Rubie why do you always have to take the high ground , prove your independent , strong! Well done proved. We know your strong and we know your capable but please don't fight me on this!" Dean pleaded.

"Don't you get it Dean? It's not about strength , individuality or anything like that , I want to stay because I want to be the one to kill her!  I began to confess.

"That's why I came back here in the first place , I wanted to kill her for you , Cedrick but now I want to kill her for me. If you didn't bother with me , if you were brave and broke up with me like normal instead of faking your death! Then maybe Lorena wouldn't want me. That's why I am not going to rest until that bitch is dead!" I exclaimed to them.

Dean seemed shocked by my confession but managed to speak. "Say you kill her , what then? Why risk your life when we can do it for you? Let us deal with her." Dean said , referring to him and Cedrick. 

"Because then I am free of you." I admitted , I could see the hurt and pain in his eyes , caused by my words but I didn't care , not anymore.

"At first it was about you , killing her was getting the revenge for your death. I was grieving. When I came back , I came back for you. Even though you were dead. But when I found out you were alive , it all changed. It was for Cedrick because he got hurt by her too. He helped me , cared for me , protected me. At that point it wasn't about you Dean , you betrayed me and stabbed me in the back. It was then that I admitted the feelings I had for Cedrick and now that I am acting on them!"

Eliza POV:

Shortly after Cedrick , Dean and Rubie left Lorena and her witches made their appearances.

"What is going on Cassandra?" I asked , I was still slightly in shock after what happened. Without Rubies blood I could have died.

"She is trying to find them. Her witches are getting ready to a spell. Tracking all the supernaturals." Cassandra told me.

"What are we going to do? They are going to find them" I warned , worry for Rubie filling my body.

"No they're not I have a plan but I need to know your feeling 100% okay before we go through with it." Cassandra said.

"Rubie healed me , I am fine. What is it?" I asked whatever it was we needed to do it fast. The witches were now in a circle and chanting.

"They are looking for the supernaturals' last time I checked you and I were supernatural. All we need to do is go far enough to look like we were trying to escape but also enough to get caught. That way they think that they have found all the vampires in the area and they will stop looking for Dean , Rubie and Cedrick." Cassandra explained the plan and the truth was I loved it but there was one small floor to it.

"Why would you do this?" I asker her , she raised her eyebrows in confusion. " Were are going to get caught , meaning Lorena is going to find you. I mean I get why you would do it for Dean but Lorena isn't after him , she is after Rubie. So why would you risk your life for Rubie? You barely even know her."

Cassandra stopped panicking trying to remove the rubble around us and rested , knowing the witches would be a little while longer prepping for 'their all important big spell'. "Have you ever loved someone that much that you would give up everything for them , love them and be with them no matter what?" She asked me. I answered honestly and shook my head. "Well I have and I do. I love Dean so much that I would die for him."

"Like I said I get that but what I don't get is why Rubie?"

"Because not only would I do anything for him , I would do anything to protect him and if that means risking my life for the girl he loves , even though he says he doesn't then Ill do it. It is the only way I get to keep the Dean I love because if she dies then part of him dies too. The Dean I love , is still in love with Rubie." Cassandra amazed me when she said this , you could tell she was upset , more than upset. Yet there wasn't a single ounce of hatred for Rubie.

I couldn't believe it , I was mad at Rubie earlier for so called 'taking Cedrick away from me' when Cassandra is there watching the one she has loved for decades love some one else , lie to her everyday and she is still willing to risk her life. She is truly amazing.
