19. Months

Eliza POV;

It has been a 3 months since Rubie left. Nobody has been back to school because it was shut and now it is summer. I haven't spoken to Cedrick since he told me Rubie had left , I have had the odd text of her but not actually spoken to her.

That is why I am so surprised that Cedrick is at my door now.

"Cedrick , what are you doing here! My mom could have been in and witches are not big fans of vampires!"

"I need to talk to you Eliza , it is important!" He replied , as he walked straight into my house , too bad that whole you have to be invited in thing isn't true.

"Please , come in!" I said sarcastically as I closed the front door and followed him through. "What's up?" I asked as he sat down in the living room.

"Its Rubie , we need to get her home , and we need to get her home fast!" Cedrick sounded warning.

"Why? What's wrong? Is she in danger?" I asked becoming rapidly worried.

"No , its Dean!" Cedrick revealed much to my surprise. Yet what he said next was even more surprising.

Rubie POV:

I was training with Alexander when I realised something ,I never knew why he was in New Orleans alone.

Me and Alexander had been training to kill Lorena and he is an amazing fighter.

"So , there's one thing you never told me." I said making conversation as we spared.

"Oh yeah. What is that?" He questioned as he dodged a punch and then ducked to avoid a kick.

"That you know my past and why I am here but I don't know why you are here.." I stated as I sent a kick at him , one he easily dodged.

"Ever thought there is a reason for that?" He replied as he caught my leg , spinning it and pushing me to the ground.

"Ever thought I want to know?" I smirked as I used my vampire speed to bring me to my feet and send him to the ground.

After we had finished training Alexander opened up to me. He was born a wolf but his pack were awful to him , so he left and now he was in New Orleans trying to find a new one. I was going to help him but we decided it would better not to considering I am a vampire.

I don't know why but recently I have been feeling like something bad is going to happen. Even if it does , coming out here really helped. I feel stronger and ready to fight , maybe even go after Lorena.
