14.Fight

Rubie POV;

I ran over to Eliza , it was Cassey. She was just lay there unconscious and covered in blood.

"Cedrick you have to help her. Give her your blood!" I begged but it was no use , he wasn't there. He had gone to find his traitors.

"What are we going to do? She is dying she needs vampire blood!" Eliza told me.

"Dean was in your class. Where is he now?" I asked Eliza.

"He's still there vampires came in , they were looking for me. He stalled them and I slipped out but Cassey followed and one of them got her." Eliza told me , she was panicking.

"He wont be able to get here in time. Where is the vampire that did this?" I asked the last thing we need is him springing up on us.

"I killed him." She said blankly.

"I know what I have to do!" I sighed. "Sorry Casey." I said as I picked up her bleeding arm.

"What are you doing?" Eliza asked as I brought the arm close to my face , ready to feed.

"Saving her!" I answered as I drank some of the blood. It took a moment but I felt it , it was a burning sensation that took over my body. After it had finished I felt nothing but strength.

"Eliza. You go and find Dean help him , tell him Cedrick's guys have gone rouge. Ill handle this!" I instructed , she nodded before sprinting down the abandoned school hall.

After I had turned I fed some of my blood to Cassey. She healed but she was still unconscious. I picked her up and took her into the classroom me and Lucy were previously in.

"You stay here with her. Ill go and find everyone , make sure they're safe." I instructed Lucy. "I don't know how many guys there are here so when I am gone you barricade the door and don't let anyone in. You got it?" She nodded , I hugged her tightly before running off , trying to find Dean. I have to say the vampire speed was pretty handy.

"Eliza!" I shouted , I couldn't track her sent , it was all over the place. I shouted her name a couple of times around the place it was strongest when Cedrick appeared.

"Rubie. Your turned?" He sounded happy and shocked.

"I had no choice. My friend was dying and she needed vampire blood but you had took off. Looks like you got what you wanted." I sighed.

He didn't have chance to reply as Eliza came frantically running over to me.

"Rubie. Come quick , its Dean!" She said as she grabbed my arm.

Me and Cedrick shared a look of concern before both using our speed to get there. I grabbed Eliza.

"No!" I shouted as I got there to see 3 vampires on top of him. He was already down but they just kept stabbing him. Cedrick used his speed to get over there , ripping two of their hearts out while I used mine to drag the last one of him and remove his heart.

"Rubie." His voice was weak , his blood covered hand held up slightly for me to grab.

"Im here." I said as I grabbed it, kneeling at his side. "Your okay , I'm here and your going to heal." I began to cry at what a state he was in.

"No , Im not.." He admitted.

I looked at him as my heart literally exploded with pain. "What are you talking about , you have to heal. I am a vampire now ,I need you to teach me , how to control it , how to fight like one , live like one. I need you Dean , I love you!" I cried but it was no use saying this he was right , he was dying.

"I love you and that's how know you are going to be fine , you are the strongest person I know. I know it doesn't seem like it now but you have Cedrick , since I have known him I have never seen him look at anyone the way he looked at you. I never thought it was possible to love like I have and do love you. You were human and I was a vampire , as if that wasn't cursed enough. You was a vampire hunter yet our love still survived. It is just a pity that I am not going too.." Dean admitted.

"Shh!" I stopped him from speaking , he was too weak to. He was barely getting his words out.

"I am here and I love you. Please don't leave me!" I begged but it didn't work. "I love you Dean Longsgate , always have and I always will!" I cried.

"I love you too. Kiss me? I want to die kissing the person I love." He smiled through the pain. I nodded and did as he asked , I kissed his lips as he was about to draw his last breathe. Everyone was watching but it felt it was just us , just us in the room , just us in the world.

I came up from the kiss and he was gone. I cried like I had never cried before , Eliza came to my side ready to comfort me. As I was crying I don't know why but I looked up to where Cedrick was stood on the other side of Dean , a single tear dripping down his face.
