Elise stretched, yawning lightly. The light streaming through the window was cold moonlight, meaning that the time period was night... It had been daytime when she fell asleep.

"Psssssst! Elise!" She looked up quickly at the familiar but lost voice.

"Zo..." A hand clamped over her mouth.

"Shush."

"Wha-"

"Shhhhhh!" Zora beckoned to the couch in the room, and Elise realized with a jolt that this wasn't her room.

"Crap. How did I walk into the wrong room?"

"Like seriously, quiet!!!" Zora lightly slapped Elise, breaking her out of her trance. "You need to come with me. Now."

"Okay." Elise replied in a hushed whisper. Zora quickly started to sneak out of the unfamiliar room. Elise followed her. They stepped out into the hallway, where a maid stared at them for a good long second awkwardly before continuing down the hall.

"Why are you-?" Elise didn't need to finish the question.

"Long story. And getting to the Amusement Park was even harder since Julius was all tipsy 'cause Ace forcefully took him drinking. He kept yelling I love ducks for some reason..." Zora paused briefly as a small smile replaced her scowl. Elise laughed at the thought. "Anyways, then I ran into Elliot, who kept on bothering me for some reason. First he wanted to know which direction Heart Castle was in("He's turning into Ace!" Elise interrupted in fake horror), then he said he lost his gun and asked if I'd seen it, but it was on his belt. Finally he came back and said that he lost his gun forever. The guns was just on his belt, you know... Then he gave me this giant hug and that whole time he didn't even recognize me..."

"Wow. I thought I'd never see the day when Elliot gave hugs..." Elise said in surprise.

"Yeah, I think he was drunk too." Zora recalled sourly. "Then, I ran into Boris right outside, and he kept on saying something about a mouse. Like, he was seriously concerned about it." There was another pause for emphasis. "Personally, he was probably drunk too. They must have gone on a giant role-holder drinking party or something."

"So, why'd you come find me? I thought I was stuck here."

"You're dead."

"E-Excuse me?"

"You're dead. Literally. You had a funeral and everything."

Elise shut her mouth as she sat down. Being told that everyone thought she was dead was interesting in it's own way, but it also had an uncomfortable aspect to it.

"Um." She shifted uncomfortably. "Well, I'm here now!"

"Yeah... I need to ask a favor of you."

"Yes?"

"Nightmare says you'll be able to go back home if you can remember seven things that happen here that are impossible in our world."

"Um... That's a problem." Elise said with a frown.

"Why?"

"...I don't remember anything, Zora. I remember you and Kayla but everything else is gone."

"Um, what?"

"I literally don't remember anything! And when there's nothing to compare it to everything here is perfectly believable! Grown men with animal ears and weird buildings out of a fairytale and magic and all that shit is fine!" Elise whined hysterically.

"You're acting drunk." Zora said in a flat town that was only half-joking. "Damn. I know you're not lying. Let's just head back to your room."

They walked through the hall until they came to the guest room Elise was staying in. Elsie quickly unlocked the door and collapsed on the bed. Moonlight filtered through the curtain, casting a small shadow behind a discarded black book on the ground, splayed out. Zora looked at it with a frown but didn't pick it up.

"I feel useless. I can't remember where I lived and who I lived with and where I went to school or ANYTHING!" Elise yelled into her pillow. "This is my... Home now."

Zora shook her head. "A house is built of wood and beams, but a home is built on love and dreams. This is most certainly not your home, though it might be where you're staying for the moment." She said.

"You rhymed. A poet and you didn't even know it!" Elise replied automatically but shut up when Zora gave her a disapproving frown.

"Im serious." Zora said...seriously. "This is your only chance of going home!"

"..." Elise looked at the bedsheets. "I'm... I'm sorry, Zora, but I don't know who's sad for me! I have no motivation to get home, because I don't remember a single thing! Tell me... Do I have a family? Like a mom, dad?"

Zora sighed and facepalmed, but it wasn't funny. "Yes. You have a mom and a dad, but you live with your stepdad who teaches trumpet at Ella Baker."

"Ella Baker?" Elise asked curiously. An annoyed vein started throbbing on Zora's temple anime style.

"Our school." She sighed. "And your teacher two years ago was horrid, remember? Jean."

"Jean." Elise repeated slowly. "Jean, and two years ago would be..."

"Sixth grade."

"Who was my seventh grade teacher?"

"Well, you got Nina, which you seemed perfectly happy about, but I got Michael."

"Hmph. Teachers." Elise shrugged and smiled. "Who was my sixth grade teacher...?"

Zora's jaw dropped in surprise. Did Elise seriously not remember what she told her less than a minute ago? Zora decided to test her.

"Our art teacher is Aria. You love her classes, remember?" Zora told her. "You were always ahead of everyone, turning your better-than-everyone-else's projects way ahead of time."

"What was her name?" Elise asked innocently. Zora huffed.

"Never mind that. I just told you..."

~~~~~~
Well that wasn't very exciting but I needed to get it out. Bai!!!
