I sat up on my bed and turned off my alarm. I opened my eyes and adjusted to the brightness of my room. I slipped on some slippers and made my way to the bathroom.

I looked at my reflection and just studied my face. I ran my hand across my cheek and felt the smoothness of my skin. I saw that the acne that had started showing up last year, had completely faded. I looked at my hair and ran my fingers through it. It was a bit tangled, but that didn't seem to bother me at all. I then looked at my eyes. My light grey eyes. They were beautiful, but behind them were hidden many awful, horrible secrets that couldn't be told. I didn't realize I was crying until I felt a wetness over my cheek. I quickly wiped it away and continued with my morning routine.

I picked a casual outfit. Black skinny jeans with a black tank top. I also added a grey sweater over my outfit. I decided to wear my black converse. I put my hair into a messy ponytail. I quickly grabbed my bookbag and headed downstairs.

I was greeted by Jared and Matthew.

"Hey, Emmy." Matt said. He gave me that nickname when we were younger. Now, he always calls me that annoying nickname. It's actually sweet though. I smile.

"Hey, Matty." I replied with a smirk. Oh, no. You thought I wouldn't return the favor. Well, you thought wrong. HA!

"Good Morning J-Bear." I said giving him a silly smile.

"Good Morning, Em." He said replying with a smile.

We all had nicknames for each other. I called Jared, J-bear. I called Matt, Matty. Matt called Jared, J-Money for some reason. Matt called me Emmy. Jared called me Em. He called Matt, Machu. I thought it was stupid at first, but now that I think of it, it's actually kinda funny. Sometimes to get on Matty's nerves we would call him by his middle name, Harold, which he hated because it made him sound 'old'.

"So, what do you think?" J-bear asked me.

"Oh, sorry. I guess I zoned out for a while." I replied shrugging.

"I said why don't we go out for lunch today with Eli, of course."

"Oh, yeah. That would be nice. Can I invite Sammy though?" I asked playing with my food for awhile before actually taking a bite.

"Of course!" He said showing excitement. I laughed and continued to eat my breakfast.

"Well, I should get going." I said while placing my plate in the dishwasher.

"See you later. Love you." I said to both of them while kissing them both on the cheek.

"Wait! Emmy let me give you a ride." Matty offered.

"Sure." I said with a smile.

He said goodbye to our brother and made his way to the car. The radio turned on and 'All About That Bass' came on. I waited until the chorus finished and changed the song. I mean the chorus is really catchy. I laughed lightly at myself.
