I guess that's our cue to leave.

Emma Lowe

Colton opened the door and I silently thanked him before making my way to his front door. I waited until he finally stood next to me on the front porch.

He rung the doorbell once.

No answer.

We decided to wait a few minutes. Still no answer. Just as Colton was about to ring the doorbell again, a very beautiful, middle-aged woman opened the door. I assumed his mother?

"Hello, there. So you're the Emma my baby Colton has been talking about?" She said wiggling her eyebrows.

I blushed in response.

"Aw, shucks. Come on in."

I covered my laugh with a cough. Colton looked over at me and smiled.

We entered the living room and I saw one boy and one girl. They looked a bit older than Colton.

"Em, this is Robert." He told me gesturing to the boy.

He shook my hand and I smiled at him. He was quite attractive.

"And this is Adrianna." He said gesturing to the girl next to Robert.

Instead of shakng my hand, she pulled me into a hug. I was taken back, but returned the hug.

"So this is the dear Emma?" Robert said with a smirk.

"Yeah, I'm Emma." I told him a smile.

"Colton has told us SO much about you. I didn't think you were this beautiful. You proved me wrong." He said with a wink.

I blushed. "Thank you." I smiled afterward.

"Shut the fuck up, Rob." Colton said with a harsh tone.

"Jesus, Emma. You're smoking." Adrianna said. I liked his family already and I barely even arrived.

"Thank you." I said while blushing. Damn it, blush. What the hell is wrong with me?

"Emma, let's go to my room while these doofuses do whatever they do." She grabbed my arm and leaded me to her room. I gave Colton an un-easy look. He mouthed 'I'm so sorry.'

"So, I feel like I didn't introduce myself properly," She started.

"Well, my name is Adrianna Haim. I am 20 years old. I'm a junior in college. I have a sister and two brothers. Nicole, Colton, and Robert." She paused as if thinking she forgot to tell me something.

"Oh!" She exlaimed. I jumped back a little.

"Sorry for scaring you, but what I forgot is that you can call me Adri. Oh my god! I must sound so stupid for startling you for such a dumb reason." She lowered her head in embarrassment. I laughed softly.

"Aw, don't worry Adri. Don't feel bad. I'm wierder than you and people still love me." I said smiling. She looked up at me and returned the warm gesture.

"Thank you. You're so nice. How could you ever be with Colton. He's such an asshole." She laughed and I joined her. We continued to talk about Colton and the daily gossip at our schools.

"Emma, Adri! Dinner!" I heard Colton yell.

"I guess that's our cue to leave." Adri said laughing lightly.

"Yeah." I nodded in agreement

We both made our way downstairs and into the dining room.

The dining room was beautiful. It had a shimmering chandelier hanging from the wall. The walls were painted a light beige and were decorated with beautiful paintings. They had a long table with a basket full of fruits. They also added papers and some keys.
