Days later after the heart breaking incident in Legerdomain and ever since then, Y/N has been silent, no heroics which made the others concerned, but with Max's help they managed to convince him to leave the Rust Bucket with his Ultimatrix in hand.
Instead of doing something to get Y/N's mind off what happened, but Kevin ended up taking them to his garage as he worked on his car as Y/N set down on the couch with his Ultimatrix in his lap as he took out the picture of him and Hope back at Niagara Falls.
Gwen: Come on, Kevin. We promised to help Y/N to get his mind off what happened in Legerdomain.
Kevin: Just give me 10 minutes.
Gwen: We've been here over an hour and what could you be possibly be doing?
Kevin: Some very important work to my ride. But now I'm telling the truth, 10 more minutes.
Ben: Is this about turning your car into a submarine?
Kevin: Yeah.
Gwen: Kevin!
Ben: How can it take this long? You've been working on your car for months trying to make it submersible.
Kevin: You can't rush perfection, Tennyson. I was thinking of driving my car to Cancun or Caracas.
Gwen: Just hurry it up so we can do something fun.
Y/N: I appreciate you guys trying to cheer me up, but-
Gwen: No buts, Y/N. You've been cooped up in the Rust Bucket after what happened. We're all worried about you.
Ben: Yeah, and I'm sorry for what I said back on the Rust Bucket 3. I didn't realise how you were feeling.
Y/N: I would be lying if I said I forgive you for that.
Ben: I understand.
Y/N: I... I just don't know what to do.
Gwen: You know it wasn't really her, it was the Alpha Rune that made her do it.
Y/N: I know, but bringing back my parents and her father really hurt the both of us, more than anything. I can't blame her, I still love her but I just need time to take it all in.
Gwen: You've been doing that for days, today we want to take your mind off what happened and have some fun.
Kevin: The driving a car underwater kind of fun. Almost done, just gotta install the rebreather.
Gwen: Sure, how does the pier sound?
Kevin: Yeah. Give me another 10 minutes.
While Kevin stayed under his car to work on it, multiple Esoterica appeared out of no where and putting the three heroes on alert.
Ben: 10 minutes? I don't think we have 10 seconds.
As soon as the followers of the flame appeared, Y/N put his Ultimatrix back on.
Ben: Esoterica ambush!
Slamming down on his Ultimatrix, Ben transformed into Four Arms. The Esoterica fired energy orbs at them but Y/N using his magic turned that energy into his own and fired it back at them, one Esoterica managed to slip into the other realm but the other was struck in the chest.
