-What To Do Next-
Gene POV:
Ben sat up straight in my bed and explained his entire dream. Jeff stared at him in awe. His eyes were wide with intrigue. Wider than what they normally are, you know because of the whole no eyelid thing. When Ben finished his story Jeff shook his head. "I don't believe it. I think your mind is just playing tricks on ya." Now I was shaking my head, "I don't think so. I had a similar dream to that last night." I memorized the dream in my head as I explained it to them outloud. Jeff huffed, "It's just a coincidence." I growled at him. Ben just shook his head. "No Jeff. Part of me actually is starting to remember things of my past with Gene. Hanging out together. Playing video games. Going to school. However, it's all still pretty vague. And some of it is all just a blur. But I still am starting to. It feels like it all really did happen. I just..." He trailed off leaving me an opening to ask all these questions running through my head. "But I must ask Ben, why did you come to me in my dream?" He crossed his arms and gave me a frustrated look. I wanted to giggle at him, he kind of reminded me of an anime character when they get frustrated at stupid questions or some stupid comment and there eyes turn into straight lines and that red thing, that kind of looks like the number sign, beats in the corner of their head to symbolize their anger. I managed to keep in my giggle as he spoke. "How the hell should I know!? I wasn't physically there. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't know why you showed me the memories in my dream either." I shook my head. He had a point. He muttered something but I couldn't quit understand what he said. I decided to dismiss it and ask my next question, "how come you are dressed as Link, from Zelda?" He chuckled "Isn't it obvious. I'm a huge video gamer and hacker. My favorite game was legend of Zelda Majorha's Mask. When I died, my father gave all my belongings to my brother, including that game. I was angry so I jumped into the game and haunted my brother and killed him, along with the rest of my family. Ever since then, I've been dressed like Link. When I'm disguised as a human, my green shirt turns into a green hoodie, my green long beanie like hat thing turns into a regular sized green beanie. My eyes turn blue. And I wear white skinny jeans and gold high tops." I giggled, "why don't you just wear the original brown boots?" He smiled, "if I'm gonna change my look, why not change the whole outfit? Right?" I smiled as he gave me the thumbs up. I then turned to Jeff, "and what happened with you?" He gulped and glanced around the room nervously. He then sighed, "you don't need to know much. Just a bunch of kids attacked me. One spilled alchohol on me and lit me on fire when we were fighting. As we were fighting, something inside me snapped. I turned into a cold blooded serial killer with a huge blood lust. I figured with how my complexion is now, why not add to the beauty. So I carved the smile into my face because I wanted to smile forever but it hurt too much trying to keep it going. So that's what happened there. Then I wanted to be able to stay awake forever and keep my eyes open forever so I could admire my beauty. So I burnt off my eyelids." I stared at him in bewilder. This guy truly is insane. He noticed the look on my face and cackled. "Better stay away when I start craving blood, I might just kill you next." I gulped as he stepped closer to me. Ben grabbed my hand pulling me behind him. I held on tightly to the back of his shirt in fear. Ben glared up at Jeff "You know I love you bro. But as long as I'm on this Earth, I am not going to let you or anyone or anything else harm Gene. Ever." Jeff backed up. "Alright, alright. I won't hurt her....unless I have the sudden urge to kill and you aren't there to protect her." I gulped nervously. Clutching Ben's shirt even tighter. He growled at Jeff. Jeff laughed devilishly. I pulled Ben closer to me as if he was my sheild. Ben sighed. "Come on. We'd better get home. Text me Gene. You have my number. I have a feeling we'll be seeing eachother again." He turned to me smiling. Jeff waved at me with a happy smile before jumping out the window and running off. Ben set my phone on the floor and disappeared into the tiny screen. I picked it up and looked at the number that I found out was Ben's earlier when he texted me, before Jeff's attack. I saved it into my contacts and turned it off. I set it on my nightstand and threw myself into bed, taking in the comfort. I let my eyelids fall, letting myself fall into a deep abyss of what people call sleep.
