-Training With Ben-
Gene's POV:
"Ok mom...yeah...yea....yes mom I did...ok..alright I'll be there shortly...MOM!...l-love you too...bye" T had finally gotten off the phone with her mom. Jeff, Ben, Jack, Masky, Hoodie, and I all sat at the table, watching her. "So what was that about?" I asked, resting my chin on my folded hands, my elbows propped up on the table. "My mom wants me home now, apperently my grandparents are on their way over, they didn't even give her a notice. Anyway she doesn't want to have to put up with them by herself so..." I chuckled, "you mean all the way from Japan?!" I asked. "Yepp!" Was all she said before walking out the door, slamming it shut behind her. "Her grandparents live in Japan?" Masky and Hoodie asked in unison. "Yea, her grand father works for my parent's company and Japan needed more people so her grandfather gladly accepted the job." I stated, matter of factly. "Oh" they both slumped in their chairs. "We'd better go too," Jeff said, "I'm in the mood for a killing spree, and I'm getting annoyed with Jack's stomache grumbling." Jack stood up, along with Jeff and the both left. Masky and Hoodie got up too, "us too, I want cheesecake!" Masky chirped. The both of them left, leaving me and Ben alone at the table. "Welp...since 'ol faceless isn't here, wanna train in combat exercises with me, it could help you improve your skills." I laughed, "sure."
We headed into the back yard, in the same spot Dad and I were in three hours ago. "Ok first lets start with weapons...oh...shit..." I rose an eyebrow at him, noticing my confusion, he added, "I only have one sword, brb." With that he vanished. I looked around, becoming more confused. He came back, a katana with a black grip lay neatly in his hands, "take it." He ordered. I gingerly wrapped my fingers around the grip and recoiled my arm back to its original position, at my side. "Ok, do what I do." He said. I nodded and waited for him to deminstrate. He swung the sword out, at an angle, to the right in a swept, semi circle motion, I did the same. He slashed upward, I did the same. He repeated his first movement and I followed. He swept it out diagonally, in a blocking position, and once again, I copied. We did several other moves, and after he showed me all them, we started doing the same moves over again, getting faster and faster every round.
After about an hour we stopped. "Ok, now you are going to swing as I block, and we'll keep going until you land a hit at me, then you will block, after you get the hang of that we'll have a little sword fight." I gasped at his words, "but what if we end up hurting eachother." He chuckled at my sudden worriness, "don't worry, I won't do any damage to you, however, when you swing at me, be careful, and please don't aim at my precious face, it is my most beautiful feature after all." I laughed at his concieded commit amd began swinging at him, using various techniques he just taught me. After about three hours of trying to touch him with my blade, I finally did it. Now I had to block. After him hitting me several times, I felt myself ready to give up but he wouldn't let me. After an hour and a half of getting hit, I was finally starting to get a hang on blocking. He finally stopped swinging at me. "Perfect now time for our little match!" He grinned deevishly. "Oh noooo!" I whinned.
He swung at me without giving me time to react, lucky enough, after having to block so much, the habbit kicked in and I thrusted the sword up. The swords made a sling-clank noise as they clashed. I gulped at how close his sword was to me, if I had waited just a second longer to block, he would have gotten me. I put more force on my sword, and pushed his away. He was quick to swing again, but I blocked him...again. I pushed him away, amd swung in an upwards diagonal before he had the chance to swing again. He jumped back, avoiding my swing just in time, but I wasn't ready to let my guard down. I swung to the right, but the swords collided. They brushed against each other violently as we battled for dominance. Our faces were only inches away, with only the swords seperating us, in an x formation. Knowing this was going no where, we both jumped back. He swung downwards, and I blocked, and thrusted the blade upwards, sending his flying, and clattering to the ground. I held the tip of my sword to his neck to keep him from going at it. He chuckled and teleported to it. I growled, "that's not fair!" He laughed again, "do you expect a real sword fight to be fair?" I huffed and lunged at him, he blocked and I swung again. He ducked, and swung at my legs. I jumped back, evading the attack. He thrusted the sword at me, but I thrusted mine downwards, hitting his towards the ground. He fell along with it. As I was about to swing, he dodged.
After a while, we were both on the ground, panting. Our heads next to each other, but my body facing west, his facing east. Our clothes were tattered, and ripped, due to collision with the swords. Luckily, neither of us landed a cut to eachother. Our knees were grass stained. As we lay, looking up at the sky, I noticed the stars were starting to come out. "It's so pretty." I said, between breaths. He looked at me, "like you." I blushed at the compliment and turned to look at him. His black eyes, stairing back at me. He smiled, and looked back at the sky. "You know, it's said that, the moon is the stars' soul purpose for survival." He sighed, I looked up at the moon, "why's that?" He chuckled, "It's said that, the stars protect the moon from any danger, and refuse to let anything hurt it. Because they love the moon, and with out it, they'd be lost, and would wonder around the universe aimlessly, they'd all be shooting stars, rocketing through space because they have no guidence. The shooting stars are the stars that lost sight of the moon, and are trying desperatly to find it. You see, the moon is the stars guidence, and to show their love and appreciation, they stay, and protect it, of course some of thrm loose sight of it, and try desperatly to find it, those are the shooting stars, like I just said." I sat up, "that's beautiful." He sat up too, propping his arms over his knees. "Yeah." We sat there for a minute, staring up at the sky. Breaking the silence, he looked at me, "I'm the star..." I look at him, confusion marked my face. He went on to comtinue, "to me, you are the moon. You are my guidence. I am the star, I will stay with you, and protect you, forever. And if I lose my moon, I will become a shooting star, and I will wonder around the world, looking for you, until I find you, and I will not rest until I do. But as long as I do my job right, my moon will never disappear, and I will never become that, sad, depressing lone shooting star." My heart skipped a beat at his words. Without me even realizing it, he was kissing me. I kissed back gentally. My mom called me, "Gene, it's almost 10:00, you need to get ready for bed, you have school in the morning." I growled angrily, as Ben pulled away. He chuckled, we both stood up and walked back to the house. I stopped by the patio door and turned to face him, before I could say anything, he kissed me again, spreading a nice kind of warmth through my body. He pulled away, "I'd better go, Jeff's probably waiting for me." I nodded. He pulled me into a tight hug, I burried my face into his chest. He smelled like axe, and it smelled great. He kissed my forehead and before I knew it, he had disappeared. I walked inside, amd started to head upstairs to take a shower, when my mom stopped me, "he'll be back tonight, as you are sleeping." I looked at her confused, and she continued, "Slendy did it all the time, and I can tell Ben will be that way too." I nodded, still confused as hell, and walked upstairs.
