๑ Chapter 33 - The Ending ๑

3 years later

The unmistakable sound of a baby crying came to me through the clear air

"Hey! Yukina! Can you come over here? The baby won't stop crying!" Hikaru shouted.

"Baka." I giggled. "I'm coming"

I went forward towards the 2 special people in my life.

"I think something's wrong with me."

"What makes you say that?"

"Because the moment you go away, the crying starts." He whined.

I giggled. "You're just too nervous, loosen up, Hikaru. Babies are fragile and delicate, you have to treat them gently."

"Yeah but, he's a man. Men aren't supposed to cry this much.." He complained.

"Well he cries because you don't think twice about the words you use. Now hush." I answered.

I cooed at our child until his crying slowly faded away completely.

"I wanted to raise him to be a gentleman, so he could be suave with the ladies in the future.."
"But with all this crying, I'm starting to wonder if he's really cut out for it." He said, quite unsure.

"Ne, he's still a baby. Don't you think it a little too early to decide what he'll be when he grows up?" I told him.

"You have a point there." He said.

He thinks for a few seconds.

Hikaru POV

She's so gentle. Who knew? That someone who was silent, expressionless and the person who beat me to a pulp when we first met is the same person who I never thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. I thought.

"Ok, I give up, you win. Besides if anything bad happens to us. I'll protect you, and our son. No matter what will happen." I finally gave in.

Yukina POV

I looked up into the face of the man I loved and smiled.

I know you will.
