๑ Chapter 17 - On My Own ๑

The Next Day

Yukina POV

'Something doesn't feel right..' I thought.

I'm cleaning and doing my duties but the hosts are behind the couch with only their eyes showing.

"Um.." I said when they all stiffened up. "What are you doing?"

"Uh.. Nothing." They all said together, I sweat dropped.

Hosts POV

'How should we approach her after knowing what's happening to her.' Tamaki thought.

The bell rang and we all stiffened up again.

"I've gotta go." Yukina said and walked away.

"Wait!" Tamaki yelled.

"What?" Yukina questioned.

"We-. . We'll walk you!" Tamaki said.

The rest of the hosts seemed relieved.

"Is that even okay with you? I have somewhere to go on the way." She replied.

"Then we'll wait for you." The twins said.

"Do what you want." She said with no expression.

We all nodded to each other.

Yukina POV

I was done with the groceries so I went out because the hosts were waiting for me.

'Why'd they have to wait.' I thought to myself.

"Minna, you don't have to come with me any further, I'm fine by myself." I said.

"Yukina." I heard a voice, which I know who it came from.

"Naoki.. What?" I said.

"You.. . .. You don't have to lie to them anymore." He said.

"W-what are yo-" I couldn't finish.

"Stop it! Stop lying to yourself! Can't you see? You need them!" He shouted in response.

The hosts looked at me with worried looks.

I widened my eyes and I never thought I would say this but..

"I don't need them! They'll just get hurt! Don't you understand I'm fine by my own, I can do it all alone!" I let go of the groceries and ran.

"Yukina!!" They all shouted but.. I never looked back.

Why'd that have to happen, what's wrong with Naoki?! Why. Why. Why.

When I stopped running I breathed heavily and put both hands on my knees while panting. I rested my back in a wall and slowly sat down and hugged my knees.

The tears wouldn't fall, and I didn't know why. I was confused, frustrated and worried at the same time but I couldn't cry.

I felt like I lost all my energy and couldn't move a muscle, I didn't even know where I am right now.

"Mom...Dad. .. ." I removed my necklace and placed it at my hands.

My eyes slowly closed as I tried to keep myself up.

I saw a shadow of a man, I couldn't see who it was at all but I didn't even have the strength to run away.

"W-who...are y...o.u.." Were the last words I said and all I could hear was.

"Kuro."

And I felt myself being lifted up.

Naoki POV

"Don't stop until you find her! Keep looking!" I yelled.

'Damn it Yukina where are you?'

"Naoki-san!!" Haruhi yelled.

My eyes widened and I couldn't believe it.

"It's .... It's-"

The necklace she always wore.

I took it and clenched it, placed it in my pocket..

'Yukina'

"Where could she be?" Honey asked.

Kuro POV

I lifted her in my arms, she was light and easy to carry.

I looked at her sleeping face as she couldn't open her eyes, she must be tired.

'How could she possibly not remember me.' I thought.

Now I have her and have accomplished my task.

'Yukina, you will remember me. I will make you remember me.'

I went inside the mansion and placed her into a sofa.

"Well done, Kuro." 'She' said.

"Hai." I replied.

She went to Yukina and crossed her fingers to her face. "My, my you look just like your mother."

"I hated your mother." She said with a disgusted look.

"What should we do now?" I asked.

"Have your time with her, as soon as she wakes up feel free to make her.....remember you."

I widened my eyes for a second then looked at her.

"Hai." I said and bowed.

She laughed and left.

??? POV

"I have your daughter, Haruka..and there's nothing you can do about what happens to her." I said as I took a picture frame of Haruka and Yukina.

"Because you're no longer here, you're dead." I continued.

"I need that necklace..." I said as I saw Haruka's necklace, which I knew she gave to Yukina.

"It's mine."
