Same old Routine

I walk out of the church as soon as service is over. You've been sober too long. This is all getting to your head. Those doctors jacked you up. So is all this.
No. You have never been so smart. So clear headed.
I definitely need a drink or something. Lucas catches up to me.
"Hey where you going?"
He walks side by side with me. Each stride matching my own.
"Im going for a walk," he continues to follow, "uh. I would like to walk alone. Clear my head."
He nods understandingly. "Just er dont wander off to far. And uh stay out of trouble. Ok Scarlet?"
Yea yea. Now move along.
Listen to him Scarlet.
I nod and continue walking. As soon as he is gone I take a turn and head closer to town. Im not too far from the place I wanna be.
Soon after going into town, which is about a 7 minute walk from the church, I quickly locate the first druggie. He just stands there by some apartments. Not too suspicious like, but with my eyes and knowledge i pin point him easily. I walk up to him.
"Whatcha got?"
"What do you mean Whatcha got?"
A deep voice with a little bit of slur replies.
"I know you have something. What do you have that I would like?"
He throws a glance over his shoulder.
"You with the cops?"
What an idiot. "Yea obviously im their lead detective. Now you got anything or not. Dont waste my time."
I tap my foot impatiently with my outstretched palm facing upwards. "Fine. Fine. Your a feisty one eh? But I ain't got much. Here try this. Be careful. Dont wanna ruin that pretty face."
He drops a strip in my hand. I know exactly what it is intsatnly I reconigze it as LSD. Oh. I missed this stuff. I nod and stalk off. He turns and faces the other way.
Soon I am at the church. They all are playing some basketball, quickly I stuff the strip in my pocket. I dont get a chance to play cause when I walk up close enough Mrs.Dodger calls out for us to get in the car. Austin and I start to walk then I notice Eden and Lucas follow. "Hey what are you two doing?"
"Oh we are going to stay the night with Austin. Caroline and David said we could."
It takes me a minute to remember that's Mrs.and Mr.Dodgers names. I nod and get in the car while they get in the truck with Mr.Dodger. Soon we all head off. As soon as we get home I go straight to my room and pop the strip in my mouth. After about five minutes it begins to take effect. Everything begins to blur. The world rushes at me. My head pounds. This is the best feeling ever. Sound rushes at me. Everything sounds like its under water. Soon everything blurs. I hear a beating. Is that my heart? I laugh. Wobbling over I try to walk across the room. The lights begin to flicker. They are too bright. Turn them down.
Yes. That's it. Turn the lights down. I walk to the switch and bang it. Why wont it go off?
I walk run around chasing everything God created. There is a freaking Dragon here. Lawnmowers up the walls. My tongue is replaced with a cotton ball. Im at war with lepercons. I think a hawk comes in and swoops me away. But it may be a person. I dont know. All I know is it has soft hair. Soon I fall asleep on the pillow of soft hair. Lots of screaming and fighting happens but I just sleep.
