Song in the media. Maybe you could play it while you read the chapter...?

Anyways, my very best friend, TheKnightLunarWolf, gave me the idea. I know it's been done often, but here's my spin on it.

What if, Nico was dying from saving Percy, and he asked him to sing him Bianca's lullaby?

It happened too fast. Too fast for Percy to comprehend it for a few moments.

He heard a yell and then a piercing scream of agony.

Percy whipped around and saw the son of Hades lying sprawled on the ground, a pool of blood around him and a sword in his stomach.

His mind couldn't understand what was in front of him. All too soon, however, he processed the scene, and his light sea green eyes turned murderous.

Percy swiveled towards the laughing monster and attacked.

Slash, cut, swipe, dodge, jab.. Percy was a killing machine.

Soon, the adrenaline wore off, and when Percy looked around, all there was were piles of golden dust littering the floor, dissipating in the wind.

He made his way towards Nico, pushing past the six other demigods.

"Away!! Get away!" Percy screamed. Tears were pouring down his cheeks as he yelled at his comrades.

They backed away quickly, though Jason was a bit reluctant. Seeing the animalistic look in Percy's eyes, however, made him back off.

Percy turned back to Nico, who was coughing up blood and trying to sit up. Percy gently laid him back down, however.

"Nico... How could you? I should've died, I should've been the one to die!" Percy whispered, the words strangled as he tried in vain to stop the tears.

Nico weakly punched him in the arm, trying for a smile.

"Y-you idiot. You st-still thi-nk I ha-ate you, do-n't yo-ou?"

Nico hacked once more and heaved a painful breath before showing a struggling and pain filled smile towards the son of Poseidon.

"Percy?"

Said boy looked at Nico and nodded meekly, tears still pouring. "Yeah?"

"Will," he coughed, "Will you ple-ase sing me Bi-bianca's lullaby? As a final wish?"

The tears rained down faster and Percy nodded, trying to stabilize his breathing before opening his dry lips to sing.

"Close your eyes. I know what you see..

The darkness is high, and you're in ten feet deep.."

The rest of the Seven realized what he was doing and joined in, though only Jason, Annabeth, and Hazel knew the words. The rest were just humming the melody.

"But we've survived more terrible monsters than, sleep. And you know I, will be here to tell you to breathe."

Nico's eyes were being to close as Percy began to sing the chorus, and Percy tried to keep him awake.

"Tu sei il mio soldatino.

La ragione per cui vivo.

Non ti scordar di me.

Io veglirõ su di te."

Nico smiled softly as his chocolate brown eyes began to droop. That made Percy sob more, as he realized that Nico was in his final moments.

"Stumbling lost, the last choice of all that you meet. It's the cost, of ruling those 'neath your feet.

Paths you've crossed, and trust you're trying to keep.

You're exhausted, listening for a voice that can't speak.

(Ma Nico, mio caro)

Tu sei il mio soldatino.

La ragione o visuto.

Non ti scordar di me.

Io veglirõ su di te."

Nico beckoned Percy to come down to him. He obeyed and heard something he never thought possible.

"So you run. Through shadows you roam.

Seams undone by the love, you thought you could own.

But he's just one, of many that you might call home.

And maybe someday, the bitter will fade from your bones. Fade from your bones, oh, oh."

Nico drew a quick breath and a dry rasp came from his lips. " It's actually quite the opposite, Mare Principe. I love you."

Percy stared in shock at the Ghost King as he breathed in once again. The Sea Prince had no time to react before Nico had the front of his shirt in his fist and stole a quick kiss from Percy.

"Eri il mio soldatino.

Ora un principe oscuro.

Ma anche per te, c'é una luche.

Che ad un'altra vida ti conduce."

As the son of Hades's grip loosened on his shirt and his eyes shut tight, Percy could feel a swirl of emotions. The dominant one being despair. Deep, deep, despair.

He released an animalistic sob and then, silence, as the Ghost King drew his last breath.

Welp, there ya go. I literally cried while writing this. Cried. ;-; ;-; Don't hate me.

Anyways, here is my spin on a subject that has been done many times. I have 5 more one-shots in the works, so stay tuned for that!

When did this turn into a television advertisement? Whatever.

As for you my shining Stars, I know you will forever burn bright! Bai!
