Heyo everyone. Miss me? 😅 I'm really sorry guys. Uh.. I just got an urge to write some short little drabbles with these angel concepts (obv it's gonna be Nico bc I'm not creative) from Tumblr. Cr. makeyouleave

(Still a demigod, just also an angel. And maybe a sprinkle of Percico.)

i. smoke

Nico lit a cigarette while waiting for the walk light to turn green, taking care to blow smoke away from the people around him.

He watched the mortals near him recoil from the scent and smoke and could even see some of them glance at him in distaste for even smoking at all.

"That's bad for you," their eyes seemed to convey to him, and he inwardly rolled his eyes.

As if these mortal instruments of addiction could even begin to harm him. He'd have to be mortal for that to work.

He crushed the cigarette butt under his shoe and walked forward with the crowd as the light turned green.

ii. tears

Frank watched in silent shock as the tears streamed down Nico's cheeks with no foreseeable stop.

The son of Mars didn't know what to do or how to comfort the intimidating son of Hades, but there was something about the way Nico's tears glimmered in the fading light that made him hesitate further.

The shimmering liquid made him seem strangely otherworldly, which wouldn't be surprising considering their heritage. But Nico's tears made the boy look somehow...

Angelic.

iii. wings

Percy had braced himself for Nico's reaction as he delivered the news from the quest that he dreaded the most.

His heart shattered when he heard the quiet, but broken, "You were supposed to protect her," but nothing could've prepared him for the skeletons that erupted from the ground as a response to the younger boy's raw grief and anguish.

Percy drew Riptide, wary of the skeletal hands that grasped upward from the crack in the ground, looking for new life in the world that they had been summoned into, lumbering towards the person who had caused their master so much pain.

Before the skeletons were even in range to harm Percy, they were swallowed back into the earth, which closed and left a visible fissure that told of what had just occurred.

Percy looked up to the younger, attempting to explain, but the words died in his throat as he inhaled sharply, processing the sight in front of him.

Nico's hand was outstretched, and tears still streamed down his face, shimmering in the light in an unearthly way. His expression was a mixture of horror and grief, at what he'd just done and what that meant. But what stole the son of Poseidon's breath were the white, feathery wings that spread from the younger's back, longer than his arm span. They seemed to vibrate along with Nico's anger, shaking like his hand.

Before Percy could even form a coherent sentence in his mind, Nico had taken off into the forest, wings fluttering behind him, made visible by the raw emotion that had enveloped the newly discovered son of Hades.

iv. aura

Jason, being the son of Jupiter that he was, was more than used to the feeling of a thunderstorm. The change in air pressure, how the world seemed to be holding its breath, anticipating, the static that charged the air.

What he wasn't used to was that feeling occurring when there wasn't a cloud in the sky to signal such an event.

Jason looked towards the son of Hades, standing on the deck of the Argo II with him, the only other person nearby.
