Izzy POV
"Girls," I turned in my chair to face Willa, Wynter and Leila. "For the last time," I slammed my fist on my second desk. "If you don't tell me what you want to cosplay as, I can't allow you to come!"
"Izzy! Calm down." Wynter pleaded.
"'I've been trying to tell them this whole time," Leila whined. "But they're not listening!"
"Hey, I've been listening to you, Leila." Willa consoled her. "I just can't think of anything right now."
"Guys, shut up!" I yelled. Once they piped down, I continued in a softer voice. "I need you guys to help me. I'm only human, so I can't read your minds, meaning you three have got to tell me what you want to cosplay as so I can make the costumes."
"I have ideas." Leila assured me. "My main one is pretty obvious; Lela from Teen Beach Movie."
"I know; that's why I already started making your cosplay." I explained nonchalantly. "Willa? Wynter? Any ideas of yours?" Wynter opened and closed her mouth a couple of times, while Willa looked away from me. "I'll take that as a no."
Leila glanced at her phone. "Girls, it's time for school." She grabbed her backpack. "Bye, Izzy." Willa and Wynter followed suit.
"Bye, girls." Once they left, I pulled a paper from a drawer in my main desk. In true Zed and Addison fashion, I looked at the paper, then looked up from it and stared off into space. "Alright, lemme give a little backstory on the paper. I'm suing Fazbear Entertainment. The end."
Leila dashed back into my room. "Sorry, I forgot my textbook...." Leila looked around the room. "Who were you talking to?"
"Myself. Don't worry about it." I replied tersely.
"Ya know, you've been cooped up in here a lot lately. You ought to take a walk or something."
"I'll think about it. Now you ought to go to school."

Ugh. The humidity feels gross. And it looks like it's gonna rain soon. I thought as I walked out of Coach Easter's fro-yo shop. Why do I ever take Leila's advice? 'Cause her advice sucks. I sat on a park bench to eat my fro-yo, when I heard an extremely loud voice starting to burst my eardrums. "A-lan, did you remember your mid-day rations?" I covered my ears as I rummaged through my bag for my headphones.
"Crap! I left them at home!" I slapped myself in disappointment as I stood up and trudged back to the forest. I was halfway home when it started to rain. "Ugh! Frick you, rain!"
Wyatt emerged from the shadows and started walking next to me. "It seems that you hate the rain. May I ask why?"
"Rain makes me sleepy, and being sleepy stops me from thinking clearly." I pushed past him, my treehouse now in sight. "Now go to school, Winnie." I approached the ladder and started climbing.
"But–" Wyatt started climbing after me.
I kicked his hands. "Now."

(A-spen POV)
As we approached the school building, A-li noticed a pair of people chatting near the doors. "I hope you take this opportunity to learn from our advanced intelligence." She tried to push the door open like she would on the ship, but to no avail.
"Uhm... you have to pull." A girl near the door corrected A-li. She took the girls' advice and found success in opening the door. "Yeah, there you go."

(Izzy POV)
The rain stopped as I found my headphones, which was nice. Tying my hair up and putting on some music, I stepped back outside to restart taking Leila's advice. I jogged out of the forest but bumped into Wynter and Willa. "Oh, hey." I waved as I moved out of their way to keep going.
"Wait, Izzy!" Wynter called.
"What?" I stopped running and turned around.
"We need you to come with us to the den," Willa explained.
"But I thought you went to school?" I pointed out, remembering our conversation earlier.
"Wyatt forgot something in the den, so we're getting it for him." Wynter shrugged and grabbed my hand. We walked to the den together, chatting and laughing until Willa brought up the aliens.
"So how about that A-spen..." She commented.
"No! Don't say their names! They're cursed." I exclaimed as we entered the den. "Anyway, what do we need to get?"
Willa and Wynter glanced at each other. "We need you to stay here." Wynter smiled. "Bye!"
"Huh? What?" I staggered back in shock. "Why?" They didn't answer as they left to go back to school. Now, I know what you're thinking: Why didn't I just leave? I don't know why I stayed there, but I'm glad I did. I explored for a bit, ate some food they had, and even started writing another song. That was when I saw something.
As I approached the object, I noticed that it looked a lot like a moonstone, but not as smooth or blue; it looked more like fire. I picked it up and held it to the light. The crystal glowed blue, then purple, then red, and I nearly dropped it as it projected an image. Eyes widening, I stuffed the stone in my pocket and ran out of the den to contemplate what I saw as I sprinted toward the moonstone in the center of the city.
What was that? What's going on? What does this mean? How did this happen? What will come from this? Thoughts swam through my mind as I ran. Nothing could take my mind off it, not even songs from my favorite movie. I stopped for a little bit to catch my breath and started walking to lower my heart rate a little bit.
As I passed through Zombietown, something dreadful and atrocious filled my ears, but my phone was updating, so I couldn't increase the volume in time. What was it I heard?
The sound of Zed and Addison singing.
