Izzy POV

"Izzy, don't you dare move." Leila had taken the ribbons out of my hair and used them to restrain me by tying my hands and feet together, then to the tree of my treehouse.

"I didn't even do anything! It wasn't even my fault..." I grumbled. Leila spun around and walked off, leaving me to suffer from boredom. Of course, I definitely could leave if I wanted, but I decided only to wiggle out of my ribbons and put them back in my hair. I leaned my head back against the trunk and pulled out my phone from my trench coat.

"Oh, my! Izzy's sitting peacefully! I can't believe it!" The familiar voice of Wyatt rang through the trees. "Are pigs flying?" I smiled weakly.

"Not quite yet, Wesley. But since they've learned to sing, flying might be the next step." He laughed at my remark.

"I heard what you did to Addison."

"Yeah, Leila flipped her lid. She banished me to time-out."

"Ya know, you should really apologize to Addison for breaking her nose."

"I would, but I don't really care about her enough to apologize."

"Please. You wouldn't want Mayor or Chief Wells to dislike you just because you broke their daughter's nose and didn't attempt to make amends."

I sighed. "You do make a good point..."

"All you have to do is seem like you were feeling guilty and didn't like it, or something. You don't need to do much, maybe just make, like–"

"I'll make cookies. I've been wanting to make cookies for a bit, but I haven't had a good enough excuse."

Pulling the cookies out of the oven, I wiped my hands on my trench coat and took a paper plate out of a cabinet. I shifted over 12 cookies(two at a time), scribbled a small note(reading 'sry ig(not really tho)') and practically slid down my ladder, mentally preparing myself for the grueling task of being nice to Addison.

For some reason... Addison was not at her house, the doctor, or in Zombietown. Feeling annoyed(before now, I've never spent this much energy on a person who I wanted to jump off a cliff), I decided to go back to my treehouse and try again later. "The one moment I actually want to see her face, and she's nowhere to be found..." I grumbled.

Once I was a few meters away from my treehouse, five distinct voices rang through the trees. "So... what is this wooden structure in the tree?" A-li asked, seemingly genuinely curious.

"I had the exact same thought." A-lan agreed.

"Oh," Zed shrugged. "It's probably just some random kid's treehouse." I felt very offended. Just a random treehouse? It's not just a random treehouse. It's my treehouse. The treehouse of the most dangerous person in Seabrook, Izylia Yelena.

But I shoved my anger aside. I still needed to be polite to Addison and "apologize" for breaking her nose. I walked closer, forming an apology, when...

"Feel free to go take a look!" Addison's smile was audible as she gestured for A-spen, A-li, and A-lan to invade my treehouse.

I set down the plate of cookies behind a tree and pushed up my sleeves, all thoughts of politeness long gone. "Oh, no you don't!" I growled, charging at the band of delinquents.
