Chapter 5: our look

ARIAS POV:
I jumped out of bed. Panicking. "Ezra I shouldn't have done this. I feel so guilty. but what's even worse it felt right. Ezra maybe we were meant to find each other again." I said as started to pull my hair up and tried to put my shirt and pants back on quickly." "Aria can I say something crazy?" "yeah..." I was afraid he'd say he didn't feel the same way. "I'm still in love with you.." I was shocked. but he began to grin. "yeah I don't think I ever stopped.. I don't know if it's my head or my heart talking right now." I cut him off "it's okay.. I feel the same way." he stood up and walked towards me. "so tonight... you end it with Liam and I'll end it with Nicole." "how about after dinner my mom wants to have some big dinner tonight. you and her should come so there's no suspicion." I pulled my hair back and kissed me. later on that night we all sat at this restaurant. I saw how happy all my friends looked with their new beau's it was weird seeing Caleb at the same table without Hanna but I ignored it. i kept making eye contact with Ezra I'd smile to myself and I'd look up to just seeing looking at me smiling he didn't care. before I could ask Liam if we could go talk there he was on one knee asking me this question. "will you marry me?" I looked around . I saw ezras face fall. a year fell from my face. I tried to shake my head at him or give him this "I'm sorry" look without anyone noticing. Liam put me on the spot in front of all my friends. "yes.." he got up and picked me up spinning me around. I saw ezras facial expression. Nicole did a toast for us. after the toast Ezra got up acting as if he had somewhere else to be. No one took notice but me that he was lying. Not even Nicole. Nicole left too. I told everyone I was going to the bathroom. I ran outside. "Ezra! wait! I love you!" Nicole turned around. ezra shook his head. "I love Nicole now. I'm sorry. there's nothing left between us." "Ezra please don't do this to me!" he pulled off quickly and I turned around to be facing...

I woke up quickly. I sat up out of breath. Liam wiped the tears out of my eyes. "you okay? you were crying and moaning in your sleep? bad dream?" "yeah.. a bad dream." I said as I wrapped my arms around him staring around. I got up out of bed and wakes towards the bathroom. I got in the shower and began to get ready for the day yet to come. I took my engagement ring off as I looked in the mirror. I took a deep breath. glad it was only a dream. I smiled at my ring. I got out of the shower and got dressed and headed out with Liam. we went to the brew. I sat at a table with Liam. he took notice I was distracted. he took notice of what I was staring at. "so this Ezra.. what was it actually like being with him?" I snapped back into reality. "wait what I'm sorry?.." I asked. "Aria tell me. what was it like being with Ezra." I say there and stared for a moment at Ezra then down at my hands then back up to looking Liam in the eyes. "it was like learning to fly. it was exciting and scary all at the same time. those two years were a magical time. But then things changed and then I met you.." I said smiling and then I reached across the table for his hand. He went and got our regulars. when he comes back I quickly realized he never gets the right amount of vanilla or the sugar on top of my whipped cream. I act as if I don't mind. He always laughs and calls me complicated. I get up and walk to the counter to ask.

EZRAS POV:
I was organizing books and took notice Aria was here but when she didn't notice I was here. she walked back to her table. to Liam. I realized Liam forgets her sugar on top of her whipped cream and those two extra shots of vanilla every time. it's not a difficult request. I mean a medium Italian roast, 3 sweetness, 3 shots of vanilla, a sprinkle of cinnamon, whipped cream dashed with sugar on top. I'm not sure why I remembered that after all these years. I went back to placing the books on the shelfs. I saw Liam leave and I felt a tap on my shoulder. "hey stranger." "oh hey Aria." "you look like you're having so much fun. Need any help?" "oh no no.. You should probably get back to Liam." "I told him Hanna was meeting me here soon and that she'd just take me home." "I see.. sure you can help." I said handing her some books smiling. "are you jealous of Liam?" She smirked. "of course not Aria. your happy.. aren't you?" "yeah yeah.. I'm so in love. I think I've finally got in right." She said looking out the window. "good." I snapped. "so are you going to tell me about her or are you just going to keep me guessing?" "what do you want to know?" I asked "well everything you know. you know everything about Liam." she said. "well she's my age. She likes Literature, reading books, helping others, giving back, she has such a kind heart." "she sounds perfect." Aria smiled. "mmh." I mumbled. I watched as Aria put away a few more books. then it hit me a flashback of me and Aria of when we first met. she was just a girl in a bar and we started this thing. meeting her was fate. Becoming her friend was a choice. But falling in love with her I had no control over. wait I mean fell. past tense.. but no summers ever come back. two summers are never alike. Times change, and people change...

ARIAS POV:
I kept glancing over to noticing Ezra staring.. he gives me this look. "quit looking at me like that." I finally said. "like what?" "just don't give me that look. Our look. I don't need it. I'm happy. I need to go. it's all becoming to confusing." "Aria wait!" I heard as I ran out.
