CARLI

"It feels so good to be home." I sighed, leaning against the couch as Harry looked through the movies. He nodded in agreement, a smile on his face. The plane ride was long and the baby was growing more anxious by the day. I pressed my hand against my bump and slowly massaged where he was constantly kicking at.

"What would you want to watch?" Harry asked. He held up three choices-- Toy Story, Leap Year and WALL-E.

"Uhm, Leap Year." I nodded and smiled as Harry put the movie in.

"If you need anything just holler, I'll be in my office." Harry leaned down and kissed the top of my head.

"Okay." I replied as he left, leaving me on the couch. As soon as we got home, Harry and I put together the nursery for our son. Everything was in place and ready for his arrival. Harry even had a hospital bag with everything we would need inside his car. As the movie went on, I did a check list of things we still needed to do before I gave birth.

The movie was amazing and I was kind of embarrassed to admit that it made me cry. I was getting restless on the couch so I texted Gemma and asked if she wanted to come over.

Gemma: Of course love! I'll bring Annabella.

I smiled at the mention of her daughter. She was a really good mom, but did I really think she would be horrible? I mean come on, she had Anne as a mom. I pushed myself up and made my way to Harry's office. He was busy typing something up on his laptop.

"Harry?" I called, leaning against the door.

Harry looked up at me and stopped typing, a genuine smile on his face. "Yeah?"

"I invited Gemma over." I said. "I just wanted to tell you."

The smile slowly disappeared into a frown. "Seriously? Carli you know I don't want her in my house."

"Our." I corrected. "Our house."

"Still. Why can't she just leave us alone? You're about to have a baby and you don't need that stress."

"Whether you like it or not, Gemma and I get along very well. She loves you and she wants to mend things. You're the one whose being hard headed." I pointed out to him.

"Oh whatever." Harry snapped. "Just don't let her into my office."

"Fine." I called as I walked back downstairs.

"Love you!" I heard Harry yell as I walked down the stairs.

"Yeah yeah yeah." I mumbled, my hand holding onto the railing tightly. It was about half an hour until Gemma arrived. She was carrying some food containers and Annabella was following closely behind.

"Hi!" Gemma said as she gave me a hug.

"Hey there." I smiled and helped her carry the food to the outdoor movie room.

"Wow." Gemma breathed, her eyes gleaming over everything.

"What?" I asked as I got two ice cold water bottles out of the fridge.

"This place is huge. Mum wasn't joking when she told me Harry was rich." Gemma giggled and helped Annabella into a seat. Annabella looked at Gemma and laid her head against the chair. Gemma looked over at me and let out a breath. "How do you get around here? I'm out of breath."

"I don't really go anywhere." I admitted, giggling as Gemma laughed.

"Understandable." Gemma replied as we sat down. We put on a Disney movie for Annabella, our attention away. "So when do you think you'll give birth?"

"Soon." I said as I ate the Chinese food Gemma had brought for us. "I can feel it, you know?"

"I know how you feel. Just wait, the pain gets worse."

I needed to know more about her past, maybe she would tell me more than Harry did. "Hey Gemma.. Uhm.. So is Annabella's dad still in the picture?"

Gemma stopped chewing, her gaze meeting mine. "Yeah, we're actually married."

"Married? Wow. You didn't tell me." I whispered.

"It's kind of embarrassing. He's in jail right now." Gemma said, shrugging.

"What did he do?"

"He had sex with a minor, which that minor was me. He's still paying for it." Gemma picked at her food, a small smile on her face. "We got married and someone found out my real age. They told the police and they took him the day after we got back from the honeymoon. Annabella and I visit every time we get the chance."

"Is it hard? Dating a man you can't see everyday?"

"Of course it is. But I still have to push through and be strong for Annabella. She keeps asking about him and I'm tired of telling her lies. She needs to know the truth but she's way to young. I--"

"MAMA!!" Annabella screamed.

We both got up and rushed over to her. She was standing beside the pool, a big grin on her face. "What? What happened baby?" Gemma pressed.

"I did something." She giggled, pointing to something dark in the water. I looked in and my eyes went big with the realization of what she threw into the water. Harry's phone.

"Oh no.." Gemma whispered. I cursed loudly and looked inside as Harry walked down the stairs, a confused look on his face.

"Hey baby have you seen my phone? I thought I left it on the kitchen counter." Harry called as he walked outside to meet us.

"I-I uhm." I stuttered, awaiting the blow out Harry would have.

"What? What's going--" Harry stopped, his eyes catching the pool. His eyes filled with anger, his body going rigid. "Is that my phone?!?" He screeched. Annabella watched her uncle carefully, a giggle falling from her lips.

"Yep. I threw it." She screamed happily. Harry turned to her and grabbed my arm, pulling me against his chest.

"Gemma, you need to leave." Harry seethed. She nodded and grabbed Annabella's arm, tugging her out of the backyard.

"If my son ever does something this stupid I'm going to lose it." Harry hissed.

"He probably will, Harry." I giggled, which made him turn his glare on me.
