CARLI

I stared at myself in the mirror, barely seeing me in my appearance. I looked like another person and I must say I was impressed at what Tiffany was able to do. I turned and faced Karl, a smug look on his face. "Told you she was good." Karl spoke.

"Whatever." I said as I rolled my eyes, grabbing my briefcase.

"So, go over the plan with me." Karl said as he rubbed his chin slowly, leaning against the wall.

"I go into Margeret's office, telling her that I'm her new assistant. When I get her trust, I'll go into her office and sneak a peak. I'm trying to find any information that I can hold against Sophia."

"And if everything fails?"

"I uh.. I.." I fell silent. I never thought of that happening.

Karl chuckled and shook his head. "I thought you had everything planned, I guess not?" He raised his eyebrows.

I sent him a glare and got my purse. "Don't underestimate me, Karl. I know you think you have me figured out, but I can surprise you. I'm capable of more things than you can imagine." I opened the door and walked out, slamming the door behind me. Karl watched me speechless as I slowly made my way to my car. I took a deep breath and smirked.

Time to show everyone.

I arrived at Margeret's office and parked. Gathering my things, I slipped on some black rimmed glasses as I looked at my make up in the mirror. Feeling good about how I looked, I got out and shut the door. Walking up to the building, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I knew I could do this but it was something I've never done. It was making me feel more strong and independent, I didn't need Harry to support me in this. I swung the door open, making my way inside. The office was neat and tidy, a woman's touch in the directions indicated that Margeret had helped with the design. I looked around and thought to myself, wondering where Margeret's office would be.

"May I help you?" A fake blonde asked, her lips turning into a smile as I made eye contact.

"Uh, yes." I breathed. "Do you know where Margeret's office is located?"

"I'll show you. Come." The woman sent me a hand gesture as she started walking down a hall. Quickly following, I listened as she tried making conversation. "We call her Mrs. Margeret."

"Alright." I nodded.

"She's picky, so don't get your hopes up for the job." The blonde said, her heels clicking against the hardwood floor as she walked.

"The job?" I asked, trying to keep up with her long stride.

"Her assistant? I just guessed since you looked like..." The woman slowly trailed off, looking at my outfit. Perfect.

"Oh, right!" I smiled, softly laughing. "Yeah, I heard she's pretty picky."

"But you look right for the job, so I'm sure you'll get the job. Looks to Mrs. Margeret are really important." The woman stopped and slowly opened the door. "Good luck." She whispered. I thanked her and walked into the room.

"You must be...?" Margeret asked as she took off her glasses. Her face was plastered with make up and a fake smile. Her white teeth and perfect nails portrayed that she cared for herself well.

"Julie Raymondson." I said, putting my hand out in front of her. Margeret slowly looked at my hand and took it, shaking it softly. "I heard you need a new assistant."
