CARLII stood up slowly, my heart pounding against my ribcage. I could feel that she was here, I could sense it. I wasn't going to lie, I was scared. I was scared if the plan wouldn't work, what would happen. What Sophia was capable of was unknown, which made me feel like I was walking into a black abyss and I wasn't able to find my way out. I looked frantically for Harry, I needed to be by his side. Seeing him sip on a glass of champagne, talking to Karl, I walked over there and took his hand. Harry looked down at me, his eyes looking into mine. His orbs were clouded with confusion as I swallowed.
"I can feel it." I whispered. "She's here."
Harry went rigid beside me, his face draining of color. He kissed my lips slowly, his hands on my cheeks as our lips danced together. I breathed in his scent as we pulled away, his finger softly rubbing my bottom lip. "You trust me?" He whispered.
"Yes."
"Then let's do this thing." Harry smirked, his eyes clouding with anger and revenge. I pulled away and picked up my dress slightly as I walked up the steps to the balcony. I rested my hands on the rail, my eyes scanning over the crowd. I didn't smile, nor did I show any emotion. I wanted to show Sophia that I wasn't an emotional wreck. I was better off being a cold hearted jerk to her. I met Harry's gaze, a nod coming from him as he watched me. I looked around once more, this time being more careful to look at every single body that was in the ballroom. Which was hard, since there was more than 100 people to look at.
I was about ready to give up when I saw what could be Sophia. I stared at the woman, knowing that it was who I wanted. I have only seen pictures of Sophia, but she looked exactly the same. Her fake blonde hair was standing in the crowd, her eyes watching as men passed. Her dress was not that bad, but still slightly on the skanky side. Her hand clutched her purse tightly as she chewed on her lip. I looked back at Harry and motioned with my eyes where she was. Harry looked over, his eyes seeing her. His jaw clenched and I could tell his anger was rising by just the sight of her. Sophia looked up and saw me, her eyes slitting slightly. I had no idea how she knew who I was, and that look gave it away that she didn't like me.
Good. I don't like you either.
I made my way slowly back down. I sent her a smirk as I made my way to Harry, placing a kiss to his cheek. "Go get her." I hissed in his ear.
"Gladly." Harry growled.
HARRY STYLES
I made my way through the crowd, my long legs carrying me faster than Carli who was stuck behind two older men. I didn't want her to meet Sophia, but she was set in helping me. I shoved my hands in my pockets, taking a deep breath to ready myself. I put fake shock on my face as I neared Sophia.
"Sophia? What-- What's going on?" I stuttered. "I-I thought you.."
Sophia turned to me, her eyes filling with happiness. "Oh my love, Harry. I'm here. I can explain everything to you." Sophia hummed as she wrapped her arms around my neck. She leaned into me for a kiss, but I quickly turned my head. Sophia's face crumbled at my rejection, her arms falling to her side.
"So you lied?" I asked.
"Not necessarily, Harry." Sophia slowly said. "There was some things that were happening and--"
"So you faked your death?" I said, my voice raising. People started to look at me, their faces showing surprise.
"It's complicated, love. You don't understand what I was going through. I came back for you, Harry. I'm here now and I just need you to let me in again. I know I ruined--"
"Everything? Save it, Sophia." I hissed. "You can't come back and expect everything to be okay, you must be bloody mad if you think that I will ever let you in again."
Sophia's features turned cold, hatred filling her eyes as I felt Carli take my hand. I looked down at her, seeing a cruel smile on her beautiful features. "She is bloody mad." Carli slowly said, a fake laugh falling from her lips. Sophia swallowed.
"You must be Sophia.. Harry's ex girlfriend." Carli shook Sophia's hand.
CARLI
"Wait.." I said, snapping my hand out of hers. Sophia looked stunned but quickly recovered it with a scowl. "Harry's.... Dead... Ex girlfriend."
"Yes." Sophia breathed, her hands shaking as she fixed her hair.
"I've heard so many things about you." I said.
"You have?" Sophia asked, a smile tugging at her lips.
I snorted and shook my head. "No!"
Sophia looked at Harry then at me. I could tell she was losing it, but that's what I wanted. I wanted to push her so far that she'll soon break. Sophia looked around and gave up, walking away and out the ballroom. "We can't lose her." I walked a little ways, feeling Harry grip my arm.
"Carli, don't. She can lash out and I don't want that."
"Well I do. Harry you don't understand. When she lashes out, after she wont have anything left. Whoever is helping her must want to drop her soon, just trust me? I know I'm not apart of your gang but I know how to ruin people. I know what can break them, even though I push out Liam.. He still taught me more things than I will admit. So we're going after her." I snapped my arm away and followed her, Harry hot on my heels. The cold air hit me hard as I walked outside, goosebumps filling my skin as I looked around for Sophia. I saw her standing on the curb, probably waiting for the carboy. Her hands clutched a folder of some kind.
"What is that?" I asked softly.
"Ask Karl about it." Harry answered as we walked closer.
"Sophia!" I called, walking up to her. She turned to me, a smirk on her lips.
"You don't know anything, you foolish girl." Sophia said. "Harry.. You'll see what happened soon enough. Someone very close to you helped me, and you didn't even see." Sophia turned to me, leaving Harry stunned. "You want war Carli? I'll give you war."
"Give me? Oh hun, it's already started. Good luck." I whispered as leaned in. I turned to leave, taking a few steps before I stopped. My hand was itching and my anger was boiling. I looked at Sophia, seeing her radiate hatred. I stepped closer and swung, my hand catching her cheek hard. Her face flew back, her jaw dropping as she clutched her cheek. "That's for ruining my fiance."
"You whore!" She screeched.
"You don't even know, yet." I winked at her, walking hand and hand with Harry to our limo.
Harry breathed a curse word as he clutched my hips in his hands, his lips pressing against mine. "Gotta be honest, that was hot." Harry groaned as he grabbed at my bum. I giggled and bit down on my bottom lip.
"Then let's do something, yeah?" I breathed as I kissed Harry slow and passionate, our tongues sliding around each other.
"I know where we can." Harry growled as he picked me up, shoving me into the limo. Harry said something to the driver, his hand gripping my thigh. "Curse this dress. It's beautiful but I can't touch you in it."
"Then take it off." I whined, my body begging for Harry's touch.
"Wait, princess." Harry said as he sucked on my neck. I grabbed his hair as I moaned out his name. The limo stopped and I looked out the window, seeing that we were at his building.
"Really?" I breathed.
"What? I want to pleasure you on my desk." Harry growled as he bit at my ear. I giggled and dug my fingertips in his back as he carried me inside.
