CHAPTER 30

~~There has been about a two year time lapse that I won't take the time to write it out because I'm a lazy motherfucker~~

-----Gerard's POV-----

Planning the perfect wedding for Frank and I had taken almost a year, but when everything was finally ready and we had sent out the invitations, Frank and I came down with meningitis. We both got it from the same place, but we never figured out where. When we ended up in the hospital, we were originally placed in different rooms. However, Mikey and Ray went through the chain of command and told our situation to over 20 people. And even though some didn't agree with our relationship because we're both men, we were eventually transferred to the same room. We spent endless nights sneaking into each other's beds and crying incessantly because of our ruined wedding.

In the last few months we were incarcerated, we were so doped up on pain killers because our heads pounded against our skulls every moment we were concious and we had so many tests done that we had Band-Aids all over our bodies. Mikey, Ray, or one of our friends, usually two guitarists who were married who we called Zacky and Synyster Gates-Vengence or two other musical friends who were also married named Patrick and Pete Stump had to be with us at all times.

I could hardly remember any of it.

When we were discharged, neither of us could drive or cook or do pretty much anything except sleep and breathe. Mikey and Ray temporarily moved into our apartment to help us. We went to rehab everyday to help get us back to normal because the front lobes of our brains were affected so much by all the drugs and the disease.

After 10 months of hospitalizations and rehab, we were finally back to our old selves and we reschedualed our wedding.

Now, I was standing at the altar, waiting to see Frank for the first time in two weeks. In the sense of marriage tradition, Frank rented out a hotel room and he stayed there for the couple weeks leading up to our actual wedding day.

I was in the nicest tux I could find and had a bow-tie on, like I had the night I brought Frank to the cliff where I proposed. All of our friends that accepted us were sitting in front of me, along with Mikey, Zacky, and Pete standing behind me, and Ray, Synyster, and Patrick standing on the other side of the altar. The priest was a woman, and she was smiling ear to ear.

My heart skipped a few million beats when the traditional wedding theme music started being played by the string quartet. Everyone rose to their feet and my hands started shaking. I was so nervous that I would slur my words or not even be able to speak because I was crying so hard.

The white curtain moved aside and revealed my Frank, dressed in an all white tux with a small veil covering his eyes, which had small black x's drawn across them with eyeliner. Tears started slipping from my eyes as he began to walk up the aisle, alone. We had sent an invitation to his mother, who he had not spoken to since he came out of the closet. She responded with a lengthy letter about how gay marriage is wrong and how she was ashamed of him for falling in love with a man. He cried for two days.

After Ray gave Frank away, in place of his father who had died a few years back, he joined me in front of the preist. We did the normal stuff until she said, "The grooms have both written their own vows and would like to present them to each other now. Gerard, would you like to go first?"

I nodded. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my papers that I had spent months writing.

I took a deep breath and began, "Frankie. How can I describe you? You are the perfect man to me in every conceivable way. You are perfect in the way you look, the way you speak, the way you walk, and most importantly, in the the way that you let me love you.
