My puzzle (Near)

I stared at the albino boy sitting in front of me finishing a puzzle. "Near?" I called out. I was playing with a few dominos that I randomly found scattered around the room. I wasn't having much fun if you ask me, what was I supposed to do with dominos anyways? I prefer the pizza. Near stopped what he was doing and looked directly at me with his big grey eyes. "Yeah?" He said. I could feel myself getting nervous. I have known Near since we were little, why am I so nervous now? "Can I help you with your puzzle?" I asked. Near stared emotionless at me. "Okay." He finally said after seconds of silence. I hesitantly scooted my way towards Near to help him with his puzzle.

"So..." I began. "How much of the puzzle have you completed so far?" Near stared at me. He didn't say anything, nor had he blinked. "Near?" The albino boy seemed to flash back into reality and shook his head as if saying "I'm awake, yes I'm listening." I giggled at the young boy. Near noticed me giggling and blushed a light shade of pink. It was adorable.

"What'd you ask me?" Near asked. "I said, how much of the puzzle have you completed so far?" Near looked down at his puzzle. "Well... There was 1,000 pieces in total and I have about 60 more pieces left.... I finished more than half the puzzle." Near ended his sentence with a chuckle, too lazy to calculate the exact fraction of the puzzle he has finished. I shook my head and smiled. Oh Near, if only you knew how happy you make me. And how my heart flutters whenever I think about you.

Near and I talked for a while. Joking around, throwing puzzle pieces at each other, enjoying each other's company, literally having the time of our lives. "Okay okay, back to the puzzle." I said, trying to catch my breath from all the laughing we did. Near and I reached for a puzzle piece at the same time. His fingers brushed against mine lightly, making us both pull away quickly. I could sense the awkwardness in the air. "Uh.... Sorry about that." Near mumbled. "I-it's fine." I stuttered. My cheeks started heating up. The burning sensation making our situation even more awkward. Near and I looked up, staring at each other. I could see a smile starting to form on Nears lips, making mine do the same. Then, we both nursed out laughing.

"Ohmygod!!" Near yelled out, in between laughs. "We're so awkward it's hilarious wow!" I gasped for air. "We seriously need to work on our social skills." I said, tears starting to form in my eyes from all the laughing. Near and I calmed down and went back to completing the puzzle. We only needed one more piece before we have completed the whole puzzle, but for some reason we can't find the last puzzle piece. "OH!!" Near yelled. "I see it! It's be my desk!"

Near stood up and ran towards his desk, bending down and reaching for the last puzzle piece. He walked back and was about to set the puzzle down, but tripped on an action figure and landed on top of me. I gasped. Near and I looked into each other's eyes. Examining each detail in our eyes. Our faces were so close we could feel each other's breaths against our skin. I looked down at Nears lips, realizing how close our lips were to each other. I gulped. I looked back up to Nears eyes and saw he was looking down at my lips too. I felt a little awkward but then.... I kinda liked it. Near looked back up and we both made eye contact again. I could see a smirk start to form on Nears lips. I couldn't help but feel nervous. What was this boy going to do.

Before I knew it, Near grabbed my arms and pinned me to the ground. "You smell very nice." He whispered into my ear. I narrowed my eyebrows in confusion when all of a sudden Near started tickling me.

"Ghaaaa!!" I yelled. "No p-please- haha! Stop, argh Near please! Ahahaha no no aaaah!!!" I could see the amusement in Nears eyes. "Near I sw- haha! Swear i-if yoU!! Ahaha don't stop I-I'll argh stop!!" Nears finally stopped when he noticed I couldn't take it anymore. Near stared at me for the billionth time this afternoon. "Why do you keep staring at me?" I asked Near. He smiled. "Because you're beautiful." (TFIOS moments like) I could feel my cheeks burning up (again) and I didn't need a mirror to know I looked like a tomato. Near chuckled. He scooted closer to me and came close to my face. "Wanna know something?" He asked. "I really really like you." He said, not waiting for my reply. That's it, my face is a dark shade of red and I could get a nose bleed any minute now.

Near inched closer to my face, his breath hitting my nose and lips like a warm summer breeze. "And guess what." He said. His lips were about 4 centimeters away from mine. One small movement and our lips would touch. "I know you like me too." I felt warm liquid run from my nose down to my mouth. I could tell it was blood. Near chuckled. He backed away from me and stood up. "We have dinner in a few minutes. We should start heading down to the cafeteria." Near said before leaving me shocked, alone in the "play room".
