***Troye's P.O.V.***

Nicola and I had engaged in a conversation. It wasn't nearly as awkward for her as it was for me.

We had gone to a small sushi place that I'd hadn't ever been to but Connor said he had been there many times before and it was right by his house. I had alone on one side of the booth, but Connor must have sensed that I was pretty intimidated by the seating, so he had moved next to me.

"So Troye? What do you like do to in your free time?" Nicola had started off with questions the second we had been seated.

"Um... I like to write songs... And you know, um... Go on the Internet" I had a nervous laugh, and I was wondering if anyone was feeling bad for me watching how awkward I was, I felt the sweat going through my hairline and I didn't want to stress out over meeting his sister, it wasn't even that big of a deal- well, to him anyways, but to me it was huge. Connor took his hand and rubbed my upper thigh subtly to try and calm me, I shook under his touch a bit before I did end up calming down more than I was before.

"What kind of songs?" Nicola asked, I was glad she wasn't asking the questions in an intimidating way, she asked more in a very-intrigued-about-me way.

"They're all different, I just like writing about whatever comes to mind or you know, happens in my life, or about friends or family."

"Cool, I'd love to hear one sometime."

"Really?" I was surprised that she wanted to hear one of my songs.

"Yea, they sound like they'd be pretty good" she smiled and took a sip of the water that was already placed on the table when we had walked in.

"Thanks" I sat up straighter, I had gained a sense of confidence in talking to her all of a sudden.

The conversation between us was cut short by the waitress though.

"Hello, I'm Kayla, I'll be taking your order, can I help you to drinks?"

I looked up- knowing the voice matched the familiar name.

"Kayla?!" I cheered seeing that it was one of my best friends serving me.

"Troye!" She smiled largely. "I didn't even recognize you at first your so tan"

"Kay, it's been like a month since you've last seen me it hasn't even been that long!"

"I know, you just look pretty different."

"What are you doing in New York?" i asked, confused since she had lived in LA.

"I'm staying with my stepmom and dad for a while, I wanted to tell you, I just- I didn't get the chance." She seemed guilty for not telling me.

"Oh," I will admit that I was sad she hadn't told me earlier. "I should probably introduce you guys" I looked at Nicola and Connor and their very confused faces.

"This is Kayla, Kayla this is Connor, and this is Nicola; Connor's sister"

"Well, I know who you are" she laughed as she shook Connor's hand. "And it's very nice to meet you" she smiled as she shook Nicola's hand.

"You too" Nicola and Connor said- annoyingly at the same time.

"Anyway, I should get your drinks" she said taking a notepad from her apron.

"What would you like Connor?" She asked.

"A margarita please" He said, his eyes still skimming over the drink menu.

"Ok, and for you?" She faced Nicola.

"Same as Connor" honestly, her choice didn't surprise me.

"And I'll have a-" I was about to order when she cut me off.
