"Mrs. Irwin, where were you last saturday night?. Between 12:00 and 4:00am?." A friendly looking police officer asks me.

I sit infront of his desk in the police station. Apparently I'd gotten the nice cop.

He has dirty short blonde hair and looks fairly muscular but not that intimidating.

Still it didn't mean I wasn't shitting my pants. Alex had went off with another police officer into the sherriff's office, I didn't know what he was telling them.

Was he confessing the truth?.
Which I doubt. Or was he lying?.

Either way if we told different things or I told the truth we would both be screwed. Besides, I didn't hate Alex enough to the point of sending him to jail.

He didn't want me to race that night and I was the one who didn't listen. Not that he was that nice of a person but he didn't completely suck.

I gripped the arms of my chair and looked at the officer's name tag.

Officer Jackson

I shook my head slightly as if it would shake off my thoughts. I'd seen enough law and order episodes, I could handle this. If I screwed myself it was tv's fault.

"I was out of the house. I'd just gotten pranked by some college kids, tossed in a lake and I was finding my way home." I say, appearing as sure of myself as I can.

Officer Jackson looks down at me and I can see he's actually a little chubby. When he looked at me he clearly wasn't judging me but it was like he didn't know what to think of me.

"We are looking into a case of illegal car dealing. Most of the time guys are the one's involved on this race. We got a confirmation that a dark red headed male had entered the race and won. That's why your friends here. There might be some dark red haired males on this state but only a few have such a reputation." He says and grabs a clipboard. He's clearly tired of standing up and looking down at me, so he turns to sit on his desk.

His desk (the one I was sitting infront of) was really organized and for some reason this only made me more nervous.

"I can understand why'd you think it's him" I say and rest my hands on his desk, trying to act casual.

"We also got a confirmation that this saturday a young female wearing some type of pajamas had illegally won the car..." he continues.

Fuck. They where unto me.

"Why would you think this was me?" I ask and gulp.

"We did some research" the officer says.

"We found out that night you and Alex where the only members not present in a dinner party that was being thrown precisely at your house." He says and leans back while crossing his arms.

"The part of me not being present at the dinner party is indeed true but do you really think that after being thrown into a lake I would go illegal car racing. I don't even have my license!" I say as if it was ridiculous but me saying that I didn't have my license only made him widen up his eyes.

"Mrs. Irwin this is serious. I hope you are telling the truth... because if not... you driving in an illegal race without a license would be really bad..." he says

I'm now worried. I'm worried to the point my stomach is twisted in knots. I never get in trouble. But I couldn't share how I felt because this was a trained officer. They'd know I was guilty.

"We are moving you into the waiting room until we see if you're free to go" he breaks the silence.

He walks me into what would be the "lobby" of the police station, which has two rows of pararel seats that face each other. They where distant by 6 feet.
