Chapter 11
Bailey awoke several minutes later, her hair and clothes covered in a fine spray of grass and dirt.
“What-What happened?” she asked feeling sick and dizzy.
“Well” the teacher said standing over her examining her head. “You fell”
“What do you mean I fell?” Bailey tried to lift herself up “Ouch, CRAP”
“Ya I wouldn’t move, it might hurt” said Ben with a way to happy look on his face. “She is going to get me killed I can see it now, my life is flashing before my eyes”
“SHUT-up” she cleared her throat “Your such a jerk”
“Well I’m just saying geez”
“Ben? Could you grab me the blue vile from the table please” said the teacher dismissing Ben. The teacher continued to poke and prod her head, causing little zaps of pain inside her skull.
“Ouch, that hurts” she wined.
“Yes well you may have a concussion, you landed pretty hard.”
“Wheres Mally?”
The teacher looked behind him. Bailey followed his gaze and saw the twins bandaging his wing. “OH NO, is he OK?”
“Hes fine. Now you need to be calm and relax or this formula is not going o take effect” he said as Ben handed him the blue vile. The liquid was bubbling. Little puffs of green smoke floated out of the top of the open vile.
“WHAT is THAT” she snapped grossed out.
“This young one, is a very potent healing brew.” said the teacher in a matter-of-fact tone. He remained bent down over Bailey and handed her the brew. Sniffing it she almost threw up right there.
“Don't worry it does not taste like it smells” said Ben laughing
“Taken this a lot have you?”
“More times than I can count, yes, tastes like short cake actually.” With that Bailey plugged her nose and raised her hand to he mouth. The creamy liquid drained into her mouth, sliding slowly as if it got caught in her throat. Bailey choked a bit and started coughing. “Ya I kinda lied about how it tastes, sorry” said Ben with no remorse as Baileys face scrunched up, making it look like she was going to puke.
“Oh my GOD that’s disgusting” she coughed
Bailey, feeling dizzy laid back down on the damp grass, and closed her eyes.
A quick nap wont hurt anyone I'll just-
When Bailey awoke with pains and aches sunk deep in pin-point spots along Baileys body. Moving didn't seem like a good idea, but relentless she began to move her arms slowly. When Bailey opened her eyes, she saw and felt that she was no longer in the field. The damp coldness gave way to soft, warmth. She was in her bed.
Anger flared as she realized she passed out again. Again. The soft comfy duvet lay floating over her body, putting no pressure on her whats so ever. She didn't know how long she had been in bed for but she figured that as long as she is awake she would find some food. Her body felt like it was hit by a truck, and to top it off she felt like she had the worst hangover of her life.
“I am never drinking again” she said to herself then remembered that she hadn’t been drinking at all. She had fell, and fell hard.
“Ugh damn it, my head hurts”
Bailey pulled the covers off her as her door opened up. And low and behold it was Ben.
“What do you want?” she grumbled.
