Chapter 21

As Bailey stared ahead of her she could help but having a storm of emotions flow through her, she could feel Bens fears exploding like a grenade inside her, as his body shivered, and his hand trembled. Baileys eyes lock on one thing and one thing only, Kheelan.

A massive army stood, spread out like an advancing of cavalier. Soldiers of Fey astride their mounts, who’s feet didn’t touch the ground. Leather breast plates, with silver buckled shone brightly against the red sky, creating a haze of red all around them. Trolls astride huge boar looking beasts, with tusks the length of a large horse stood behind them with arms full of weaponry. The Fey all stood erect, their facial expressions emanating one thing, they were here to concur.

Bens Point of View, for a change in the story......

*******************************************************************************************

I stared widely, shocked beyond belief that they would use this many to gather one girl, but then again I am a menacing threat, but this, this is to much for even me to handle. I might be able to do some magic and manipulate my surrounds but I can't fend this many off. Damn Mallor for not being able to get us through. This is not going to be good, there must be over a thousand troops here. I can feel Bailey behind me, though she should be more scared then she is and that worries me. I looked back at her for a second and surprisingly she looked rather calm considering the hoard gathered to kill me. They wont kill her because they need her, but they don’t need her in one piece, and that’s what scares me the most.

She may have come into some of her powers, but using them in the way she may have to in a few moments is not going to be good for her. I squeezed her hand to reassure her I was here, and to my relief she smiled at me, almost saying that she was here for me, she was here with me. I for some reason felt discomfort in that fact as I turned my head back to the now approaching hoard. The Fey that had chased us were still behind us blocking our escape, but they hadn’t made a move to advance.

I should have known that Kheelan would have a few tricks up his sleeve, and should have figured that he would assume we would use this trod to get back. I don’t know why I never thought of that, and right now I am mentally kicking myself in the ass for it. Bailey was holding onto my hand and odly enough she made me feel calm, like I could face anything. Last night had been the best night of my life, and there was no way I was going to allow them to take her away from me, after I just found her.

I could see that the advancement had stopped and only Kheelan and his right hand Mayleb were coming forward. I took a step and positioned my body to look menacing, as well as my face, I was already pissed by the chase, that now makes sense as to get us here, and now that this is in front of me I am uncontrollably pissed. They were over 100 feet away, and there was no way I was letting them get too much closer. I extended my hand out in front of me and used some of my power to shift a crack in the ground, that spread length wise stopping them about 80 feet away, I could hear them sufficiently enough from there. Kheelan gave me a wide grin, one in which I would like to punch right off his face, as he began to speak.

“Well well, what do we have here?” his tone was pissing me off even more.

“Exactly what you assumed, I presume” I shouted, but not overly loudly, I knew they could hear me just fine.

“Yes, yes, all fun in games I see. And Bailey how good to see you again my Queen.” I flinched as he called her that, but Bailey stroked my hand with her thumb as she took spot next to me, facing the threat head one. I commended her for that, it took guts, and that is something she defiantly had.
