Ariese finds herself in the same situation she's been in so many times. Diane is at her door again, with bloodshot eyes. Ang pinagkaiba lang ngayon, may dalawang malalaking maleta na itong dala.
"What the fuck happened, Dee?" Ariese asked. She pulled Diane for a hug.
"Ariese," Diane cried.
Ariese sighed. She hugged Diane tight while stroking her back. She guided her to the dining table habang ipinasok niya ang mga maleta nito.
Ariese got Diane a glass of water and sat beside her.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Diane sobbed, then sighed loudly. Uminom ito ng tubig at nagpunas ng mga luha, "we're done, me and Lax."
"What do you mean you're done? Diane, anong ginawa sayo? Sinaktan ka ba?" Ariese asked.
"No, hindi," Diane said and held Ariese's fist, Ariese sighed because of it, "it's... we're having a hard time lately. I didn't tell anyone, kahit si Era, kasi nahihiya na ako. I've been complaining, para na akong sirang plaka kakareklamo sa relasyon ko."
"Ano naman? We're your friends, Dee!"
Diane looked away, "yun na nga e."
"Ha?" Ariese asked, confused.
"Ariese..."
"What? Kinakabahan ako sa ganyang tingin mo, Diane," Diane released a chuckle, "natawa ka pa talaga."
"Ariese, I've been thinking about you..."
"Okay...?"
Diane closed her eyes, she gulped, "wala. Forget about it."
"Ayan ka na naman, you keep on leaving me on the edge. Ano ba 'yun, Dee?"
Diane bit her lip, a sign that she's nervous, "do you still think of what we had before, Ariese?"
Okay, tangina. That's all Ariese could think. She thought of a lot of things but never THAT.
"Dee, ang tagal na no'n, i-b-bring up mo pa talaga?" Ariese asked while trying to fake a laugh, "wait... don't tell me 'yan pinag-awayan niyo?" she asked with panic in her voice.
Diane shook her head, "it was never like that for me and Lax, you know that. Because of that, it got me thinking lang."
Ariese stood up, stepping away from Diane, "let's not bring up the past, Dee. Lalo ngayon, you're not thinking straight."
"Ariese, I've been thinking about this every night..." Diane looked at Ariese and Ariese can see the pain in her eyes, "what if we risked it?"
"Let me stop you there, Dee. Please, wag."
"Ariese naman!"
"God, Diane! You're a married person!"
"And it's failing."
"Ah okay, kaya pala nandito ka naman," Ariese said sarcastically, "Dee, please, stop. I don't want to talk about this."
Diane sighed, "I'm sorry, Ariese."
Ariese shook her head, "you're just confused and hurt, Dee."
"I wish I was."
Ariese remained silent.
