sayo lang ang tingin

Alyssa's about to make a turn to exist the premises of FilOil Centre when she saw Dennise near the exit, alone, and looking at her phone. Her eyebrows furrowed, supposedly, dapat nauna pang nakaalis si Dennise sa kanya dahil nagpaalam agad ito kanina pagkatapos ng game nila.

Alyssa finds an empty spot and parks her car, then she walks toward where Dennise is.

"Hey," Alyssa said that caught Dennise's attention.

"Oh, Ly?" Dennise asked, "weren't you on your way home?"

"I was, kaso nakita kita rito, wala pa sundo mo?"

Dennise shook her head, "na-traffic daw si mommy, 30 minutes pa raw siya."

Alyssa nods, "okay."

"Umuwi ka na, player of the game," Dennise said, smirking at Alyssa to tease her. Natawa naman si Alyssa.

"Mang-aasar ka na naman!"

Dennise chuckles, "sometimes, it feels like we're already too old for this, 'no?" Dennise asks.

"Well, hindi ba?" Alyssa asks with a laugh, "feeling ko ang player of the game ay dapat pang-below 30s na lang."

"Wag ka nga, deserve mo 'yun," Dennise says while smiling at her, "tumanda lang tayo by age, Ly, but your love for the sport didn't, and today, you showed everyone that, kaya deserve mo ng spotlight, okay?"

Alyssa smiles, Dennise knows the way to her heart with words, always.

"Thank you, Den. College pa lang alam mo na kung paano ako bolahin," Alyssa jokes.

Dennise laughs, "at talagang hanggang ngayon you still don't know to accept compliments."

Alyssa shrugs while smiling, Dennise only shook her heard while still laughing. Saglit pa silang natahimik when Alyssa says something, "and ano Den..."

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for always knowing, even if there were no words said. Isang tingin mo pa lang sa'kin, you always know what to do."

"Ly, of course, I hold you close to my heart, that's why," Dennise responds, "and you to me rin naman. We approach our feelings differently but you know when to give space and when to reach out. I always appreciate you for that. And yes, even those ay sorry wrong send mo sa tiktok man or IG ng mga reels na funny, I know it's your way of telling me that you're always there."

"And I thought I was not obvious," Alyssa jokes.

"You are very obvious, Valdez," Dennise laughs, "tsaka hello, has it been what, 15 years? Ngayon nga alam ko iniisip mo e."

Alyssa nods, amused, "sige nga, ano?"

"Sunday, 5pm, Rockwell?" Dennise answered.

Alyssa laughs out loud, she bites her lip, "mali lang sa time, Den, can we do it 2pm? Late lunch, please?"

"Okay," Dennise answers.

"Until dinner," Alyssa adds.

"Baka abutin na naman tayo ng breakfast the next day nyan ah?"

"Ayokong magsalita ng tapos, Den. But most probably could be," Alyssa answers then laughs.

Dennise nods, she sees her mother's car approaching, "mom's here."

Alyssa looks over her shoulder and steps aside to give way, "go na. It's late na rin."

"Alyssa!" Dennise's mom says.

Alyssa smiles widely and approaches Dennise's mother, "tita, wag ka na lumabas!" she says and kisses Dennise's mom cheeks through the window, "good to see you po."

"Parang hindi ako nakita last week?" Dennise's mom says, "thank you for staying with Den, na-traffic ako dyan sa may Shaw."

"Nako tita, wala 'yun, pero go na po kayo, para makapagpahinga na rin kayo. Ingat kayo tita," Alyssa says, then she looks at Dennise, "good night, Den."

Dennise nods, she quickly hugs Alyssa, one hand behind Alyssa's head, then presses her cheek against Alyssa's, "take care on your way home, Ly. Good night!"

Alyssa smiles at Dennise then watches her get inside the car until the car disappears from her sight.

She sighs, a deep one. Then she shakes her head and starts walking to her car.

With her heart beating loudly and a wide smile on her face, Alyssa bites her lip to stop herself from screaming. She quickly checks what day today is, Thursday, and all she wants is for Sunday to come.

Haha! Could you imagine 30s AD na beating around the bush pa rin if they were single lol. 

Anyway, hi! Trying to write one shots again. :D may drafts din ako (with angst syempre) na hopefully I can finish and post one of these days, or months, tbh. HAHAHAHAHA!
