18 by One Direction

For Alyssa, being a champion has always been a dream. No matter how many there are under her name, she still always gets that 1st time feeling after they clinch the final score. That's why everytime they win a gold; she makes sure to let everyone know how grateful she is for the team and all their hardwork.

But Alyssa also knew there has been different lately. Not within the team but within her. After she said her speech, and earned a lot of claps and tease from her teammates, she quietly goes to where Dennise is.

"Nice speech," Dennise says.

"Puro pang-aasar nga lang nakuha ko kila Tots," she answers.

"Ano bang bago do'n?" Dennise asks while laughing. Alyssa smiles while watching Dennise laugh.

"Den," Alyssa calls Dennise who looks at her, "can we go out for a while? To get some air?"

"Oh, sure, sige," Dennise says, they both stand up, silently walked towards the elevator and went up to the pool area of the building. It's already past 11 and the wind has been colder than usual.

Dennise watch Alyssa whose eyes are closed. Feeling the cold breeze. She smiles and quietly waited for Alyssa.

"It still feels surreal to celebrate a championship with you," Alyssa says after a long silence, she looks at Dennise and smiles, "sa sobrang tagal na nating hindi magkasama sa isang team, at some point, celebrating a championship together with you had become a dream. Ang OA ko 'no?"

Dennise laughs, "hindi, Ly, I totally get you. There are times na nagugulat pa rin ako when I see you in the same side of the court," Dennise chuckles, "and honestly, us being teammates again made me realize how much I've missed you."

Alyssa nods, "Den... I'm sorry, blame it on the championship, but I don't want to let this night end without letting you know how happy I am to be with you. Championship has always been a dream but getting it with you surpass that. I didn't know I dream of getting it with you until I got it with you."

Dennise closes the distance between them and hugs Alyssa, "I've been wanting to do this since earlier."

Alyssa hugs Dennise back, tighter, she feels like crying. Of how overwhelmed she is right now.

Of the championship.

Of the celebration.

Of how it has always felt right to be with Dennise.

Of how it has always felt right to have Dennise in her arms.

"Ly..." Dennise says, her voice betrays her as it starts shaking. Alyssa wanted to break the hug but Dennise stops her.

"Why are you crying?" Alyssa asks, concern is evident on her voice.

"Ayoko na Ly," Dennise starts, "I don't want to run in circles anymore. Or run away from whatever we're trying to deny all this time," she says while crying, "I don't know how to keep this pa. I don't know how or why. But with you, everything just makes sense, Ly. Why are we trying so hard to fight this?"

Alyssa cries, "you've always been the one since we're 18, Den, no one else. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for so long."

Both look at each other with tears in their eyes, they managed to laugh and wipe each other's tears.

"Blame this on the championship," Alyssa says.

"Yeah?" Dennise asks, "well, I won't blame anything or anyone for this," she says and crosses the small gap between them. Kissing Alyssa with full of love, longing, and promise, "you're not going anywhere after this."

Alyssa laughs, "all yours love, all yours."

Dalawang championship na ulit AD together, dalawang beses ko na rin sila pinapaamin sa one shots dito. What's with championships and sappy feelings? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Hope y'all are safe! :)
