"A... year!?" I ask breathless. I have been in a coma... for a year...
My heart monitor sped up and suddenly I couldn't breath, thrashing around uncontrollably.
I'm seeing black dots block my vision. Its getting hard to see... where's Matt... Dylan? Sara...?
And I'm out.
~*~*~*
I can hear whimpering... I feel a hand holding mine."I'm so sorry..." I hear Dylan whisper.
"I- this is all my fault... I-I wasn't there to save you in time..." He goes on.
I squeeze his hand and I open my eyes to see him staring at me with wide eyes.
He's so... perfect...
"Its not you're fault. You couldn't of helped me... he's been like that since mom..... died." I cringed at the word.
I sat up and he straightened from a slouch.
"Its not you're fault. Its mine. I'm the one that skipped class, knowing he would do this. I'm the one who didn't go to anyone in the first place!" I rush, getting louder as I go.
"No! No, stop." He says to me."I hate this..." he mumbles, sounding like he was talking to himself more than me.
Then I realise three things.
"Uhm...where's Matt?" I question.
"He's getting something for you too eat. Instead of the crap food the hospital gives you."
"Where's Sara?"
"Getting me and herself some food."
"How long have I been out?"
"So many questions." He jokes with a smirk. I just notice he is still holding my hand and my cheeks heat up.
"You have only been out for two hours. Its twelve in the morning now..."
"Okay, one more question."
"Go ahead." Dylan laughs.
"Am I allowed to take a shower? I mean, I haven't for a year. I think I'm well due for one."
"Umm... I don't really know. Do you want me to talk to your nurse?"
"Yes please!" I nod my head vigorously.
"Okay, I'll be right back." He says as he gets up.
I can't help but stare at his back muscles as he walks away... sue me, he's hot!
I just sit there, thinking about my mom, brothers... my 'father'. I'm not going to call him dad anymore. I'm not even going to acknowledge him as my dad.
Dylan comes in just then with a change of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, and my portable makeup bag.
I pick it up gratefully and head to the bathroom. This room has a bathroom extension so I don't have to walk far.
I turn on the shower and start to wet my hair.
Dylan's pov
Oh crap! I forgot her towel! I quickly get up and walk over to the nurse.I swiftly get up from the uncomfortable chair next to the bed and walk to the hall.
I see the nurse and walk over, "Hi, I forgot Alexa's towel. Could you Please get one for me?" I ask politely.
"Oh, anything for you." She says seductively and I cringe.
"Then go get a towel." I snap at her.
She scurried away and came back with a towel.
I mutter a thanks and go back to Alexa's room.
Hehe, I'm gonna wait until she comes out of the bathroom. Maybe then I could try to make a move!
God Damn, I hope this goes well...
After a couple more minutes of playing random games on my phone, Alexa opens the door just enough to stick her head through.
"Uhm..." she starts, her face red like fire. "Could you p-please pass me my towel? I-I forgot it i-in here." She puts on a sheepish look.
Holy crap that's so cute. Wait! Shut up, God Damn I am so whipped!
"Um, no thanks." I say simply, a smirk on my face.
"Please?" She tries.
"Come get it." I challenge. still with a smirk on my face.
I sexy smirk appears on Alexa's full lips and she opens the door just a crack more. She is such a tease sometimes...
I slowly get up and walk over to the door, never taking my eyes off her. The towel long forgotten.
I am now standing less then three inches away from Alexa. The only thing separating us is a door. I think to myself.
Holy crap. The only thing separating me from kissing her beautiful fricking face off is a door... not for long.
I reach up to the door handle and softly push on it. It opens a little but I can feel Alexa trying to keep it right where it is.
Yeah, that's not happening. I could see her bra strap now. At least she's not naked. I don't want to scare her off by going to fast...
I try pushing a little harder on the door and it moves. Not once do I take my eyes off hers.
She takes a step back, I take a step forward. We do this a few more times until she bumps into a wall. I put my hands on the wall, beside her face.
"You know, I've wanted to do this for so long." I tell her, and without giving her a chance to respond, I crash my lips down onto hers.
Matt's pov
I'm weaving though the people in the halls with a bag of Wendy's in one hand and a cup tray with two drinks in the other.I look down for a split second when I bump into someone.
I look up and see Sara. Sara...
"Oh!" She exclaims.
"Oh, it's just you, hi!" She says with a beautiful smile.
I smile back and ask, "Hey, where you heading?"
"Oh, my friend Alexa's room." There is no way she is talking about my cousin.
"Really? What a coincidence! I'm heading to my cousin's room, her name is Alexa too!"
"Oh, cool! What room is she in? Maybe I could meet her!" She pauses then adds, "I-I mean, if that's okay with you!"
"Oh, yeah, that's totally cool with me, she's in room 517 on the third floor. Y-" I was cut off by Sara.
"That's my friends room! Alexa is your cousin!?"
"Um, yeah. If we are talking about the same person then... yeah."
"That's so cool! Lets go up to her room!"
I laugh, "I was heading there anyway."
