" Alright, everyone! This is Ella. She has just moved here from San Fransisco. She will be in this class."
I was faced with about 30 people staring at me.
To make things more awkward, Mrs Carcavella then left the room.
I looked around the room for an empty seat...and the only one I could find was next to..Scott?
"Scott, hi!"
"Hey." He looked a bit uncomfortable talking to me. I felt a bit defeated.

I wanted to talk to her, I really did. But I remembered what Anthony told me. His words really got to me. Plus, there are so many other girls to talk to. I don't need to worry about Ella.
My best friend Mitch walked up to me.
Don't worry, he's not the one that is with Kirstie.
"Scott. We need to talk." He said with a serious tone. Mitch never talks to me in a serious tone.
"Ok, but where?"
"You can swap places with Kirstie." And that's when it clicked. Kirstie was sitting next to Mitch? That's not right.
I went into Kirstie's chair and she moved into mine.
"Scott...I'm dating Kirstie." Mitch told me. To be honest, I was expecting it. All the signs pointed to it. Well, it looks like I've lost my best friend and my girlfriend.
And both of those things are really hard to replace.
