New Gen Of Titans

Colin Alone

It was Saturday morning. And at the end of every week the Titans go home to spend two days with their families. Milagro would go home with her big brother Jaime Reyes, or Blue Beetle. Nell's mom would pick her up. Superman would come for Chris, Flash would come for Irey and Jai, and Alfred would come for Damian. Colin doesn't have a family, he would sometimes spend the weekend with Damian, Jai or Chris and sometimes he would go back to the kid's home. 

It was just past half twelve when the Titans had all finished their breakfast and gathered their bags for the weekend. They all stood in the main Oops room. "See you guys on Monday" Irey hugged Milagro and Nell. "Bye" "See you" Lian then hugged them. "See you soon" And they all said their goodbyes. Outside the tower Superman was flying above the ground with a smile on his face, Wally was impatiently tapping his foot, Alfred was waiting by his limo's door. Nell's mom was sitting in the car on her phone. And Blue Beetle was talking to Roy Harper. 

The Titans walked out of the large T-shaped tower. Roy opened his arms and ran towards Lian. Seeing him coming Lian grabbed his arm and flipped him over. Leaving a groaning Roy Harper on the floor. "Sorry daddy... Instincts" Roy tried his best to smile. "That's my girl" Every member off the Titans were standing with their families, as Colin stood sadly watching them, until they all turned their attention to him. "Colin are you coming to stay with me in the manor?" Colin gave Damian a week smile. "No" Jai walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "How about you come to my house?" Colin looked at his other friend. "Nope" Damian, Jai and Chris stood beside Colin, as everyone gave him a sympathetic look.

"Colin are you feeling OK?" Milagro asked growing concerned for her team mate. The boy's changing smile turned into a frown and his eyes began to water. "N-No" Colin broke down in tears. Irey and Nell walked over and gave him a hug. The team tried their best to  comfort their team mate, but it was no use. Colin finally wiped his tears. "I'm going to the kid's home" "I thought you hated that place?" Chris asked. But Colin ignored him and walked over to Wally. "Mr West, could you please give me a lift?" Wally gave the boy a sad smile. "Sure- Wally turned to his kids- Be back in a minute" And with that he picked up Colin and sped off. The Titans gave each other worried looks.

Lian was sitting on her bed in her father's house, staring at the ceiling. Lian gave a frustrated sign and stood up. Walking into the living room she stood in front of the couch. A women in her early 20s sat eating yogurt and watching a movie. Seeing the young Titan in front of her, the lady paused the TV and smiled up at Lian. "Hey sweetie. What's sup?" Lian looked around. "Where's dad?" "He went out to visit Jason for a while" The younger girl nodded. "Could you tell him I'm going over to Irey and Jai's house?" "Course. Oh and we still need to finish the last season of that action movie!" Lian smiled "Sure Lexi!" And with that she was gone.  

In a matter of 10 minutes Lian was in Irey's house and running up the stairs and into Irey's bedroom. Jai and Irey were sitting on Irey's bed playing chess. Lian smiled and sat beside them. "Hey!" Irey snagged Lian into a hug. "Hi Lian" She nodded. "Hey Jai" Lian watched as Jai called checkmate and Irey crossing her arms and pouting, claiming that the game was 'fixed', Jai and Lian were playing each other. Jai was deciding what move to make as Lian talked. "I'm worried about Colin" "Everyone is. Do you think we could do something?" Irey asked. "Maybe. He might  have a family member- I just took out one of your horses, yes!- Anyway maybe we all could try and figure something out?" Jai added as he took one of Lian's chess pieces. "I'll call the gang" 

That Sunday, at 12.30 at night the whole team, except Colin were in Titans Tower. "What'll we do?" Nell asked yawning. "The better question is, what can we do?" Milagro corrected. "I know that we need to help Colin. Hey, I know! Damian's dad takes in orphans all the time. He can take Colin" Chris voiced his idea. Damian scowled and crossed his arms. "My father does not take in orphans. He simply just needs new partners-" "Well, then how do you explain that he treats all your brothers and sister like his own" Damian glares at Nell. "OK guys. I think Batman has enough kids. But there has to be another way" Lian calmed everyone down. "Lian's right"
