Summers Of Goodbye

Every year the team, at summer time left the Tower and the team for the summer. They would all go their separate ways to spend two months with their families. It was always like this, even when they had become teenagers. This is all the summers that they had to say goodbye.... 

The first year they had just started the team about six months before. It wasn't that hard, after all they were only 12 (Some of them in the story are 12 to 14). The team were still trying to become better heroes and no longer known as side kicks. 

They had all just quickly waved before leaving. They were kids, so didn't really have to fight crime. Wally, Linda, Jai and Irey had all rented a caravan and left for the two months. Milagro had spent her time with her big brother, they had both taken trips to the beach and eating ice-cream. Colin and Melissa had went back to the foster care place. 

Occasionally sneaking out to go on adventures or hanging out at Wayne manor with Damian. Lian had spent her summer travailing the world. She did it every summer. She had went with her father, 'uncle' Jaybird, and 'aunt' Kory. Nell had spent the summer with her friends from outside of the team. Chris and Superman and trained together. And Damian had stayed home all summer. He would just train, what else was there to do? 

Which brings us to this summer... 

The team had been together for two years. Chris, Milagro, Lian and Nell were all now sixteen. Colin, Damian, and Melissa were all fourteen. Jai and Irey were both twelve, but looked fourteen. This was the hardest summer to say goodbye. They had been together for two years, and now they wouldn't see each other for two months. And they all knew that when they came back they would all have changed. Not just physically, but mentally. 

They were all in the Oops room. All wearing civilian clothes. The first to go was Irey and Jai. They were going to Paris for the full two months. The girls had all hugged Irey and Lian had given her best friend the longest hug. Irey then hugged Chris and Colin. The girls had all hugged Jai and wished him luck. Jai then high-fived his guy friends. They both grabbed their suitcases and turned to the elevator. The doors opened and Jai entered. Irey turned back to Damian and gave him a smile. "While I'm gone.. Don't get yourself a new love interest, boy blunder" Damian smirked at her. Then the West twins were gone. 

Next to go was Lian. She was going adventuring in Europe. She had hugged all her girlfriends and all the guys. She told them she would bring them all back something from the trip. And with that, the archer left. Chris was next. He was going to live on his adoptive grandparents' farm. Even Lois had agreed to go.  He had fist bumped his fellow team mates and gave all the girls a group hug. Nell went after him. She gave her bestie a big squeeze, and hugged the others. She was going to a summer camp. 

Milagro was going to go into space with the other Green Lanterns, they would teach her how to use her ring properly. She hugged the two remaining boys and Melissa. Melissa had insisted on walking out with Milagro, to give the two best buddies some space. And with that Damian Wayne and Colin Wilkes were left. They both looked around the tower for the last time, before turning to one another. They both smiled and put their arms around the others shoulder. "Welp. This is it" Colin said cheerfully. Damian smiled. "It is" Colin lightly smacked the Robin's shoulder. "I'll see you in two months. Try not to change to much" "You too" 

They both entered the elevator together. But before it reached the ground level, it opened on the second last level. The door swooshed open and the team entered the elevator. "I thought you guys left already?" Chris chuckled. "We aren't leaving without a goodbye hug first!" And the team all got into a group hug.

This is the last chapter of this book. But a lot of you seem to like the idea of this team and I really enjoy writing about them. So I've decided to write another book that'll take place after summer. The team have all changed a lot over the summer and there will be more romance and a lot more villains, I even want to add Red X! I hope you guys will read it. It'll be out on the last day of september. In the mean time I hope you like the other books I'm writing about the Bat family (I'm obsessed!)
