Chapter 5:
He looked deep into my eyes, and it fills me with intense heat and I feel my knees weaken.
"I know."
"You know what?"
"I know, and I feel the same way."
I felt as if I couldn't breathe, as he leaned in and when our lips met, it felt as if they were on fire.
"We are going to be landing in a few minutes, please return to your seats." My eyes shoot open. It's just a dream. For some reason, Cameron seems to have jolted awake too, we notice that during the time we were both asleep, we've drifted so close our heads were almost touching, and looking further down, I could see my hand is intertwined tightly with his. I blush and pull my hand away, and he gives me a smirk. Thankfully, William hasn't seen a thing; he seemed to have conked out and is dead to the world.
What is wrong with me?

The first words I see when I get off the plane were a big yellow sign that says: WELCOME TO SAN FRANSICO.
This is real. It's my new life now. We go through customs in a blur, and reach his limo, taking us to my new home, technically William's home.
Cameron and I haven't talked since the plane ride, but occasionally, we side peek each other, and if by chance, one of us catches the other, we both blush and turn away to look out the window.
What is wrong with me? For the rest of the ride I fiddle with my black friendship bracelet Clara gave me. Clara's my little sister, and I feel a pinch behind my eyes, as I remember her pudgy little hands slid the bracelet over mine, and looked at me and said "Don't forget me sissy."

We arrive at the doorstep of William's home, and my jaw drops. It's so...Grand. I follow them dumbly through the door, and I just looked around while I followed William and Cameron. When we reach a room that looks like a conference room, we enter and we all sit down. Moments later, the household staff arrives inside the room too.
"So, the reason I called for this meeting is because I want you all to meet the new Mrs. Taylor." The staff clapped politely. "Marie, every morning when I leave, Mrs. Taylor will join you, and you will deal with her however you think is the best."
"Um." Everyone looks at me. "I just want to say, er- please call me Hayden."
There's a silence, and William continues. "Well, that's about it, and Gemma, show Hayden her room." And with that, everyone sweeps out of the room except me and a pretty brunette. The brunette comes over and shakes my hand. "I'm Gemma Tyler, and welcome to the family." I grimace at the mention of family and she laughs. "Yes I can see that you don't want anything to do with William, did your parents give you up?" I looked up. How did she know?
"Er- yes. They did. They needed the money."
She shakes her head. "Whatever. Let me show you to your room."
Chapter 6:
My room is bright and beautiful. There's a king sized bed in the middle of the room.
"Impressive, no?"
I nod in response to Gemma, and I sit on my bed and look around my room dazedly. "This is...mine?"
"Yes sweetie, this is all yours."
I giggle, and fall back onto the comfy pillows and fall asleep. I could hear briefly a closing and an opening of a door and some hushed voices, but took no notice and went back to sleep.

(Cameron's Point of View)
I enter her room quietly, and tell Gemma to leave. She looks puzzled, but did as she was told.
I take a few steps near Hayden, and stroke her long beautiful blonde hair, so smooth. She's such a beauty, and yet such a mystery. Why on earth would any sane parent want to give up their daughter to a horrid man like my father? She looks so peaceful.
I stood there for a few minutes, and crept away before she noticed anything. My heart's thumping so hard. What's going on?
***
I wake up and it's dark out. I yawn and check the time, and I bolt straight up. It's already two in the morning? Now what am I going to do? There's nothing to do two in the morning. I decide to look for Gemma, and if she isn't too tired, maybe have a chat about life here in the Taylor's Household.
I open my door quietly, and set out to find the servants' quarters. I tiptoe down the stairs. It's so dark in the house it feels like a horror movie, as if any moment, something will pop out at me. My heart's thumping and I bite my fingernails as I tiptoe towards the kitchen.
BAM!
"Ouch!"
"Ow!"
What did I bang into? Or the better question, who?
"Hayden? That was my NOSE."
"Cameron?" whoops.
"What are you doing down here? It's two in the morning!"
My eyes grow accustomed to the dark in the kitchen and see his piercing green eyes glaring at me. "What? I just woke up, and I can't sleep. I want to go find Gemma and have a talk."
His expression was unreadable, and without a word, he swept out of the kitchen.
Right.
I hurry through the kitchen and just as I guessed, there's a section attached to it. I open the door and it creeks quietly. There appears to be a long white corridor, each with the name the room belongs to. It didn't take me long to find Gemma's room.
I knock softly on the door, and she opens her door, her hair ratty, and looks shocked to see me standing at the doorway. "Um...hi?"
"I kind of... can't sleep and I like just woke up so if you're not too tired I assumed maybe we can have a chat...about the people here? But if you don't want to, it's okay, I'll leave."
Gemma rubs her eyes and beckons me to go in the room, and I nod gratefully.
