Chapter 10:
"I thought you said that it wasn't like that." Gemma raises her eyebrows and Tarin smirks.
My face flushes red when I recall the kiss. When we finally let go of each other, Cameron's face was an explosion of emotions, as if he's part happy, part sad, part angry.
"I'm sorry Hayden." He won't look at me. He quickly got off me and held out his hand to help me out. I take it, and once I was up, he let go and he almost runs into his room and closed his door.
I just stood there dumbly, not knowing what to do. When at last I get tired of standing there doing nothing, I decide to head back into my room, only to get attacked by millions of questions by Tarin and Gemma.
"Guys, I'm tired. Can I please just take a break?"
"Tired from kissing a hot mysterious guy?" Gemma high-fives Tarin.
"Seriously, let me take a break." I flop down on the bed and close my eyes, and I hear them letting themselves out of my room. Once I heard the door click shut, I open my eyes.
I don't understand. Why did he do that? Why did he just leave? Did I do something wrong? I don't get it! "Argh!" I give a shriek of frustration, and Gemma and Tarin comes rushing in.
"GOTCHA!" then they see my head buried inside my hands.
"Oh no, what's wrong?" Tarin comes rushing over and puts her arm over me. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, but I don't understand." I explain to them what happened after the kiss, and their eyebrows knit together in confusion. "Well? Any theories why he acted that way? Did I do something wrong? What did I do wrong?"
"I have no idea why he did that." Gemma shakes her head, "he seemed so into it." We all ponder for a moment, and then we chat until dinner time. Tonight, I decide to sit in the main dining room, knowing William won't be there. They both agree I should talk things out with Cameron. I get nervous, and we all head to my closet and choose something nice to wear.
"Oh."
"My."
"GOSHHHH!!!"
I smile as I look at myself in the mirror, I look nothing the way I normally do. My hair is freshly washed and blown dried and my make up immaculately done.
"You look stunning sweetie."
"Ready to break his heart?"

I head into the room, a bright smile plastered on my face. I am ready to talk things out with him. I open the heavy wooden door, and it opens. I was about to say something, but a gasp took place instead.
Cameron obviously had been busy. A pretty brunette was perched on his lap, and they were practically shoving their tongues down each other's throats.
I feel sick.
When Cameron heard me gasp, he looks up and he sees me. He turns pale.
Not a good sign.
