Chapter 24:

When I finally checked my watch, I found it was already quite late, and I decide to head home and flag down a cab. I think a lot in the cab.

If Cameron and I got back together, what will happen to me, Tim and Ricky? Ricky will have an unstable childhood, and might end up feeling insecure and unsafe throughout his life. I don't even what to think about Tim, he'll be so hurt. He'll never forgive me.

That's all not an option.

But... what if the reason I married Tim was to get over Cameron? Are the feelings I feel for him for real? Or am I simply transferring my feelings for Cameron to him?

I pinch myself. This isn't a dream. It's real.

It's not a game. It's life.

More than ever, I wish I wasn't myself. Why couldn't I have been born from a normal family?

I've rarely visited my own family. I did find them when I was engaged and invited them to my wedding, but that was about three years ago, and even then we barely talked.

I can't do this. Not anymore. I'm totally sick of this love game. I'm sick of life itself.

When I arrive home I go straight into my room where Tim is already asleep.

I strip and change, then slide in next to him. I turn so I'm facing him, and watch him sleep. His chest moves up and down evenly, snoring lightly.

I move over and place my head on top of his chest and sigh.
