"NO! PLEASE PUT ME DOWN!" I hear the sound of familiar laughter ringing in my ears. I know that laughter anywhere.
Dalton.
Suddenly, I freeze. How did he find me? How did he get here? Why is he here?
"Dalton?" I whisper, unbelievably.
"The one and only." I rip his arms off of me, and turn and jump into his arms, giving him a bone crushing hug. He hugs me back, not wanting to let go. I'm driven from my hug when a couple of people cough behind us. I jump back and look at my boyfriend, my ex-boyfriend, their sister and their brother all staring at me. I glance at Cole and Jeremiah and they both look furious. I blush a deep shade of red.
"Oh guys! This is one of my good friends from back home, Dalton." Their eyes flicker to Dalton then back to me.
"Dalton, this is Cole," Cole glares at me with great intensity.
"Jeremiah," Jeremiah doesn't take his eyes off me.
"Cody and Tiara." I notice as Dalton looks at Tiarra he holds his gaze a little longer than needed. Tiara blushes and gets out of the pool with Cody by her side.
"Hi. I'm Tiara and this is my brother Cody." She sticks her hand out to shake Dalton's. Cody and Dalton do a man shake hug thing. I look back at Cole and Jeremiah who look pissed. I mean I can't blame them. Cole's girlfriend and Jer's ex girlfriend just hugged a really good looking, buff guy, rather needfully. I leave D to talk with Tiara and Cody and walk over to the side of the pool where Jer and Cole are at.
"What's your guys problem?!" I ask, getting in the pool and sitting on the step under the water in front of them. Cole and Jeremiah's eyes both widen as if I had just asked a stupid question.
"Care to explain why you were hugging that guy very...comfortably?" Cole asks, crossing his arms over his chest. I look at him confused.
"He's my friend." I state.
"That's not what it looked like from here!" Cole and Jeremiah say, raising there voices. I tell them to hush.
"Lauren? Do you or do you not, like that boy over there?" YES! My body screams. Shut up stupid brain! You left. You can't have feelings for him, you have a boyfriend.
"I-er-uh-why?" I stumble. Cole gets out of the pool.
"Good bye Lauren." He stalks off into the house. What?! No! I look back over at Jeremiah with tears in my eyes, who looks back at me with sad eyes. I jump out of the pool, running for the house.
"Cole!"
