I approach Lou Ellen hesitantly. "Umm hi," I say awkwardly.
"Hi, Nico right?" Lou smiles at me, she seemed nice enough. I felt bad that I had to let her down.
I nod and point to the seat next to her, "Can I sit?" I ask
She nods, 'God this is awkward,' I think.
"Listen-" We both start at the same time.
Lou Ellen gives a little laugh, "You first." I shake my head. "Okay then," She replies, taking a deep breath. "I think you're a really nice guy Nico, but... I don't like guys. I'm really sorry," She says meekly.
I look at her my mouth wide open, "Please don't hate me or something!" Lou says quickly and I shake my head.
"No! It's fine. I thought you liked me and umm I don't like girls..." I say as meekly as she did.
Lou Ellen smiles, "Beards?" She asks and I raise an eyebrow.
"What the hell is 'beards'?" I ask a little too sharply then I meant to.
Lou Ellen sighs, "You are dull, Will was right," She mutters. "Okay so 'beards' is when a gay guy and a lesbian girl date because they aren't ready to come out." Lou explains.
I nod, "Sounds good. And I am NOT dull!"
Lou Ellen laughs, "Yeah you are. Though, not as dull as Will. I can't believe he doesn't know that you like him yet!"
"WHAT?!" I explode and that only makes her laugh more.
"You were CLEARLY staring at his dick in gym," She points out and I groan.
"Does everyone know about that?!" I bury my head in my hands. "But I don't like Will! I mean, he is attractive but I feel no actual love towards him! I HATE HIM AND HIS HOT BODY!"
Lou giggles, "Suuuuuuuure, well, I'll see you at the double date!"
"Yeah..." I mumble.
I certainly did NOT like Will
