Priya's POV

I anxiously make my way to the door of my home, with the security assigned to me close in tail. It feels good to be out of that big building and feel just a bit of normalcy. I fumble through my purse for my keys and once in hand, I unlock the door to my living space. I push the door open and feel an instant wave of relief wash over my body. Walking in feels like a fever dream because I haven't been here in a month. It feels great to be home. I turn around to notice that the security guy, whose name is Jonathan, is still standing at the doorway. I know he's on duty, but he can loosen up just a little bit.

"Thank you for bringing me home. You're more than welcome to come in and have a seat, if you would like." I say, motioning for him to come inside as I hang my purse in it's usual spot on a closet hook.

"Thank you." He responds, entering my home and taking a seat on the couch.

"Would you like some water? That's all I have." I offer with a chuckle and he nods with a light smile.

I'm not lying, either. The day that I left home, I had planned to go grocery shopping because I was low. Thank goodness there was nothing in my fridge that was set to perish. After opening the fridge and grabbing the only 2 bottles of water from inside, I make my way back to Jonathan and extend the bottle to him. He takes it graciously and I take my seat on the other end of the couch. I instantly melt into the material of my couch and feel my body fully give in as I exhale in relief, closing my eyes in bliss. I have missed being at home so much. It's not that I don't enjoy the luxuries that come with staying with Taehyung in the presidential building, but there's nothing like the comfort of my own home.

"Feeling like yourself again?" Jonathan asks, and I reply with a simple nod as my eyes remain closed. "I get it. There's nothing like home sweet home."

"Man." I say, "I love being with Taehyung in that lovely building, but this? I miss the simplicity of my small apartment. This is where my life is."

There's a small pause before he speaks once more. "Ms. Priya, the president really likes you, and having you around frequently. I know you are enjoying being in your own space right now, but do you think that you will be moving into the presidential building permanently?"

I stay in my position, but I open my eyes now and turn my head slightly to look at Jonathan as I reply. "I have no doubt that I will. We haven't talked about it, but I know it will more than likely be soon. I don't feel as safe living here alone after the leak."

He hums with a nod. "I understand."

"But," I start, "I would love to stay home while Taehyung is away. Do you think that would be possible?"

"We can arrange that. I can also arrange my lodging situation for the week to be in close proximity to you."

"I work at a hotel just about 10 minutes away from here. You could get a room there? We can even use my employee discount." I smile, hoping that we can set him up, so I can stay home. "I mean, I haven't been to work since last month, so who knows if I still even have a job there."

"Maybe call the hotel to ensure you are still employed?" He suggests.

"Good idea." I reply, pulling myself up from the couch to stand and walking over to my purse to retrieve my phone. As soon as it's in my hand, it begins to ring and Taehyung's icon is displayed on the screen. I answer the call instantly with the biggest grin on my face. "Hello?"

"Hi babe." I hear his deep voice echoing through my ears and the smile stays glued on my features.

"Hey, sweet face." I respond and I hear his chuckle on the other line. Meanwhile, Jonathan stands and motions toward the door. I nod as he makes his way out for a moment, giving my attention back to Taehyung. "You did an awesome job with the rally."
